Cut keepers down to 1-2 people and make them "command" the wild faction
Sorry, just noticed this.
IMO if there is going to be one and only one nomad faction then i agree with Mjolnir and Monk, make that faction Das Wilde. It has a lot more RP potential than the Keepers at the moment.

I think we know that Korrd and in no way was I trying to direct anything at you personally. However, I was directing my comments to the Admin team as a whole. I feel that this idea was largely just written off for fear of PvP crazyness. Which I can understand. I also noticed that you said that this was a set policy. If that was the case why wasn't this whole idea stopped from even being posted in the first place.
Generally, I think you folks are being quite unfair about this and I don't really understand why. If you want to shut this down then shut down the Keepers and the Phantoms because the logic you have provided, that being requiring admins to adjust rep means it shouldn't be around, should be treated on an equal basis among all factions on the server.
From what I have heard, it was indeed discussed, with Igiss no less. However, that is just hearsay at the moment. And whether it was discussed or not you are dodging the meat of my post there. If the problem is the reps then why isn't it a universal rule for all factions.
' Wrote:It's not like they can go anywhere and shoot anyone. They're confined to Rheinland and a few of the Omegas. In that respect, they aren't much different than Xenos. The only big difference is the nomad thing, but that just make the Wild more interesting.
Exactly... didn't think about this at first.
Xenos are almost exactly the same... with some "small exceptions"
1. Beeing hostile to all NPCs in Liberty doesn't almost matter.. since they can't even move your shield
2. Anyone can become a Xeno.
And on a side note... the Nomad Lasers that they could be using.. are not uber in any sense. The 4.00 guns are same as Krakens (but without shield-specific damage), 3.03 guns are worse than Codes, and 2.00 guns do have 700 speed but in damage vs energy are below most Codes. And all of these are lvl 10.
EDIT: @ Hoodlum... I thought this forums section says "faction creation requests"
Igiss says: Martin, you give them a finger, they bite off your arm.
which must be put with a disclaimer as i can no longer get onto the server (again, thanks China)
But - while i personally have never liked these "exclusive club" clans... i would (if i could play the blasted game) be interested to see how a wilde faction panned out. RP wise it could open up some doors... provided it just didn't become a PVP fest.

I really doubt that it will become a PvP fest with Praetyre in charge. For one thing, he's a great roleplayer... and he is also pretty poor at PvP, largely due to lag in his location.
I agree with Marauder here.. Someone said that 'we all get the same treatment'...
So, why are Keepers allowed to exist, but Wild isn't?
Make it experimental like with the keepers, why not? Don't they deserve the same chance?
Put one admin inside, just like with the Keepers.
And see if it works. If it's not working, it's easy to remove it.
Really, there isn't a single reason for Keepers to exist, Phantoms to exist, but Wild to be denied just because 'it wasn't discussed'.
Well, discuss it.
