I'm personally for the creation of the Wild faction. All the NPCs need to be represented by player characters. It doesn't matter if they get the terrorist ID or not, just that they are RPd well. Journeying through the vastness of space should be fraught with dangers. Having a player faction will, to some degree, help to stop the NPCs from just being a Nomad blaster market stall.
The problem will come from people who don't want to role play, but just want to shoot the baddies. As long as you are careful about where and when you appear, it should be possible to mitigate that particular bugbear.

We mean by 'Experienced RPers' people who are generally acknowledged by the community to have good rp. This involves being well known by said community, and as such, are not noobs, even if those noobs have excellent RP history on other servers or other games. Moreover, such people have know how the rp here works.
Furthermore, I support the idea for this faction, given some rather strict zoi constraints, and Exceptional RP. And I mean that. I expect to see constant RP of the 'we can actually interact with humans' variant on every encounter.

Yep. The idea here is not to have more Keepers with different ships, but to have people who actually interact... in system chat! And if they move their general RP disdain of lesser humans to system as opposed to group, all the better. The important thing is that they CAN.
I have full confidence in Praetyre and cohorts to decide who should join, and if there are any problems, it isn't much of a hassle to revoke faction membership (unique ID and admin necessary rep-fixes are hard to just "do" by yourself, after all).
So, about that ZoI... what do you guys think it should be? I'm partial to Omegas, Rheinland, S-13, everything else on very important pursuit only (think Yoda taking his battleship load of nomads through... not gonna let *that* slide, are they?).
Well I for one am all for this proposal seeing light in game. I wish all those involved the best of luck getting it sorted and I ask the admin team (with the greatest respect for their judgement) to accept it.
I think that The Wild offer such a huge scope for RP that it would be a waste to not have a faction devoted to them. I would love to have the fear of having a possible Nomad spy in the ranks of... well anyone really, it's awesome, Imagine the ingame paranoia it would be really really immersive.
Zoi: Omega 55, 58, 4, 47, 11, Sigma 13, 19, NB, Stuttgart, Dresden. Munich and Frankfurt are rather far out of the way, though. That's a solid amount of space, to interact with Phantoms (and they should. Phantoms use nomads like steeds, they need to take offense to that.), RM, QCRF(barely in our zoi), TBH, OPG, HT, RHA, RFP, and various unnofficial groups without leaving a rather tight Zoi. going elsewhere is just pvpwhoreish.
