They're for our battleship. The cruiser ones are probably for a cruiser we have or something.

Because of our SRPed Ships and we can sell our Turrets to Zoners and The Order. I've seen Nephilim, Osiris and Corvo with GMG Turrets.
Otherwise I would welcome Open-Use... Not only for my Explorer and R&D stuff.

If you want the Corvo as a reasearch ship. Why not... Use the previous model of the Corvo?
I've spent virtually my entire Disco career with one single corvo. And guess what. I've RP'd it from a transport ship.. to warship. Leave the current corvo as it is and use the old model corvo as a research ship for all those wanting one.

Now that I think about it the old model of the Corvo would work better for the research vessel role as it looks more like a research ship then the current one, which looks like some small faction cruiser (which it is) instead of an actual research ship.
Use the 4.85 model for a new ship.
And adjust it accordingly.
I agree with Badperson. Use 4.85 Corvo model to Reseach Cruiser. And maybe back old ID's? Reseacher, Smuggler, Mercenary, etc? To my mind this was cool and more interesting that now.

The Merc ID and the Vigilante ID will alway have a spot on the server considering how the RP of vigilantes is hard with Freelancer ID and how you can identify Merc from normal Freelancer.
But yes. Bring back the old Corvo model, make it a new ship, and use it's old name, Talarca!
Yes... if you want an open reserach ship, bring back the old corvo model, create a new name for it and there you have it.
Don't mess up with zoner lore (again!!!!!!) plox. It's getting boring...
This way it can be good for both sides: people has the possibility to have an open research ship, without trying to throw zoner lore in the garbage... again!!!
And yes, the alternative will be having the server flooded with zoner tears... It's only natural... Only zoners can fly it, any Corvo in non-zoner hands will be bountied and hunted everywhere it goes...
Why not to make other research ship based onto Pilgrim Liner mainframe? You could even retexture it and rename it, keeping the same price. Optionally scale it down a bit and add some stuff, like additional antennaes, give it fewer turrets BUT give it ability to have gunboat shield.
