Just a quick note for anyone wishing to add their two cents, please try to look upon this as apostive way to get feedback for any given faction, I honestly think they could all do with it. I'll repeat my assertion that if this idea goes ahead it needs to be kept flame free and in good spirits.

This is an excellent idea, Del. I've seen some faction statuses and I went omgwhotheheckpwnt? because I phailed to understand why they are still there. There, my own one liner.

I also support one additional stipulation : every current faction should have to meet the current standards for approval of new ones. If that means some older ones bite the dust, so be it. Having been here for a long time is not a good rationalization for failing to meet the newer roleplaying standards around here.

Agree wholeheartedly. If we've dinosaurs who don't fit in with what's going on now, it encourages other proposals and unofficial groups to act like them.
On another note, how often would we check all the factions? Once a month?
EDIT: Kingvaillant, I updated my status last week, and I would still like to see it gone over by a large number of people. Those things are huge, and its really easy to get things out of wack in them over time.

Thta's a good point, although I wonder how many would sign up to the idea if such an important thing as Official status is on the line. I'm in agreement with this, it would support a more RP basis to some of the less well explained factions. I await to see what some of the other faction leaders opinion on this would be.

All of them, no exceptions, the BLS updated theirs less than a week ago, I still think they should go through it, the only ones that would not have to do it are those that have had their status granted since the Admins took sole charge of approving a potential faction, so the GC and onwards I believe. Although I'd need an Admin to make the call on who gets through that screening.
