While I like this idea...

It's creating more work for the people who have been keeping their faction status updated, right?

I would gladly do this for the LSF, i know it will lead to flaming and such, as long as it isn't too bad like, "LSF IS SO OORP DENY DENY!"

This would also give us a chance to work harder on our RP, if we are to be approved. Great idea del.

Yes and no, it's a thread, so you respond to it as and when, save up your replies so that you can answer multiple questions in one go, or you cna sit and monitor it to take charge everytime someone raises a valid or unvalid point.

If people would have an issue with any factions RP then it should be rasied clearly and objectively. If it isn't then the thread authors have the right to request that a particular post be revised so that the accusation might be better met with a sensible reply. It's all about how you deal with it, if you go into it expecting a flame war then that is what you will get, as your viewpoint will be based on the fact that you think everyone hates you, if you go into it with a clear head then you can see each opinion for what it is, an opinion.

Del, I think it should be voluntary really, not mandatory, there are already enough things of that kind around. So if they want - they will make threads to gather feedback when they feel they need it. That's just my opinion. I partially agree with the idea, but only partially, as some points are just pushing the line in the way I see it myself.

If it's voluntary those factions that could really do with some clarifications, will not. I have yet to see a feedback thread for any faction other than the Keepers, if they were made regularly then this idea would have no merit at all, as it stands they do not, and this idea, at least in my opinion, is a good one.

It needs to be mandatory, otherwise there will be groups who deviate from what the community is doing, and thats the goal: To bring the official factions in line with the overall community. The fact is, there are faction posts up that no longer make sense, and by making it optional, we allow those posts to remain as is. While intended to be helpful, its meant to help the community, not any faction. Help the community by applying what the factions should already be doing with a little more pressure. Anyone who would opt out is hiding something, or far to lazy to run a faction well.

Well, you have a point there, however I'm still skeptical. Which brings my question: how often factions would have to go with those feedback threads?

Now that's good point, I reckon that it should be done once every six months, or whenever the faction goes through a redesign, much like the BLS have recently done. But I am open to suggestions, as always.

Six months is huge; things could go massively awry in that amount of time, and most factions aren't much older than six months....I do mine about every month, to be honest.

A month? No. Got much time - fine, but not everyone has that much free time on hands, and perhaps have other important tasks at hand such as development and actual implementation of ideas taken from previous feedback, some of which can take several months to do actually. Things can go ugly in a matter of a single day, for them there are emergency threads that appear anyway, so no.
