AV = Antivirus (Software). As I said, I don't use such, because of forementioned problems. However, I haven't had any serious error on my PC since.

So this is basically potentially a virus/malware problem?

Edit: I think its because my router might be getting overwhelmed or something. I did some research....
i guess ill update the thing bit by bit.

its 4GB so its a big update....

Ive learned that many times it's not actually a malware but rather software mistakenly thinking it's malware. Forcing you to then go and manually give permissions for the download by going somewhere in the settings of the software blocking the download. Quite the mouthful.

Plain simply, I never use Anti virus or anti malware software on my gaming PC. It's just a gaming PC so I can reformat it if I get a virus. One thing is certain, anti virus/malware software and gaming don't mix well at all, often ruining the gaming experience.

Do any other computers or devices on your network exhibit the outage of internet? Are you connected with a wifi or wired connection? What kind of Router is it? Have you called your ISP to have them run a test on your modem to identify any troubles from their end?

Although being proactive w/ anti-virus software is good, I believe this is a network issue and not something virus related.

I searched this issue on Google... Nothing was said that this is a virus. It only happens I think on this launcher that WT uses so yea... I think its my wireless router getting overloaded or something. Its like a Linksys one. I dont see this being a virus since I didn't download much anything else really :/

It's likely not a virus. It could be a multitude of different things.

It could be your router, firewall, ethernet drivers ect. Overwhelming your router seems unlikely, I've never seen that before. It could be overheating though I guess.

Also if you're connected to the net wirelessly that can cause a whole bunch of connection issues.

The most likely culprit though is the War Thunder downloader/launcher. If you can patch a different way, do that.

Yep i dont think its a virus at all.
Overheating also no.

Basically for the past 1.5 hours i have downloaded like 700MB by turning the launcher on, waiting for the connection to drop and usually getting somewhere from 50 - 200 MB downloaded before my laptop looses connection.
Then i restart my laptop and try again...

the router actually is not the issue... the laptop's internet connection just fails and then when i try to disconnect and reconnect it doesn't. So I restart and it magically connects back just fine.

What OS are you using? What model of Linksys router? Have you recently updated the firmware for the router/have you update it to the latest release in the past?
You could try reinstalling your wireless adapter's drivers from the manufacturer's website.
I would try to reinstall the wifi adapter driver first, then login to the router and make sure you have the latest firmware.
Theres really many variables that could be effecting your connectivity at this point, and I've seen various issues ending up being the root cause, from IP conflicts to bad WiFi Adapter cards, to router firmware malfunctioning.
