it was said earlier, but the modmic 4 is great. you just take an existing headset and attach the mic to it. I have one that I use with my Bose qc15 and I love it. It would be much cheaper than buying a new headset that can perform at the same level as your current pair of headphones.

I do look after my gear, though to be honest, i like my Sennheisers, they are comfortable to the point i could wear them for days and not notice. I might actually look into Mod Mic, though that's assuming i'm not gonna have it pack up after five minutes and it's actually gonna stay attached to my headphones without the obvious hassle there. But i'm surfing through the suggestions, considering it'll be something i probably use fairly often, i need to be sure it's not gonna be a royal pain in the neck compatability wise (I've had one which decided it wouldn't work after the PC rebooted and had to reconfig the sound every time, ect) and obviously won't cause irritation on my ears. Since hey, that just sucks
