There seems to be some confusion as to our current relations with the Bretonian interests that occasionally visit our little corner of space. We are neutral, and they have the right to approach Malta and Ibiza and dock with them at will. Capital ships should be gently steered away, but otherwise we are their hosts and should act as such. If this doesn't establish a clear precedent, then here's this: Don't Shoot the Bretonians. Bonello out.

I've got some oldish news that I thought should be shared. A few days ago, Lothario and I decided to test the Corsair defenses in Gamma. Yes, by ourselves. Our long range scans showed that all but a few Corsair ships were elsewhere, so we figured the two of us could score a few kills and then get out before things got too hairy.
Well, we got very lucky. Soon after we engaged, roughly 15k from Crete, several Core bounty hunters showed up and decided to shoot at Corsairs instead of us. Several Corsair GBs and fighters went down. Of course, such mayhem didn't go unnoticed and soon the entire system was flooded with Corsair activity. Something hit me, hard, nearly destroying my ship and disabling my countermeasures. At first this wasn't a problem, but when Lothario and I decided to withdraw (after an Osiris showed up) I was unable to get away from the hail of CDs and was destroyed, barely having time to eject. Lothario picked me up on his way out and headed into the Sigmas, with a few enemy craft in pursuit.
So, long story short... we certainly stirred things up a bit. But it'll be awhile before I have the nads to go into Gamma again with only one escort.

Upon leaving Malta's orbit, I saw another ship, the Kuun Lan, in system. I asked for it to come to Malta for a scan. Upon closing to 10k, I saw it was a hostile bounty hunter battlecruiser. I quickly called my brother Enrique and he launched in his Falcata. He immediately engaged.
Two independent Outcasts assisted Enrique during the fight and both were destroyed. I didn't have a chance to turn on my onboard camera or get a good scan of what they were flying, but I did catch that one ship went by the callsign Flagg. After several minutes of engagement, mostly by himself, Enrique retreated to Malta in a battered ship and requested the defense grid be activated or reinforcements brought to the scene. The bounty hunter scum proceeded to call Enrique a coward (since fighting alone against a battlecruiser is obviously cowardice) before moving off to find other prey. I apologize that we Martinez couldn't bring this foe down, but I hope others will finish what we started.
For future reference, all should know that the Kuun Lan is extremely aggressive and should be treated with extreme caution.
OOC: I don't know how many people have met this Flagg, but he did a good job of RPing during and after the fight. Maybe we should try to recruit this fella before the RoS get their hands on him...

Don't take it too harshly, Miguel. The fact that one Falcatta held off a Battlecruiser long enough to get the Planetary Defense Grid active is something remarkable in and of itself. The issue here seems to be with the dispatcher; maybe a Corsica Reeducation is necessary for the officer on-duty at the time.
As for the Pilot/Callsign Flagg, we have tracked him down in the registry and communications have been initiated. Thanks for the heads up, Miguel, and good work.

Greetings Brother Outcasts. Please allow me to introduce myself. I am Flagg, son of Gorath and a Malta native. I have recently "acquired" some capital on my return from Liberty Space, where I had spent several months earning my keep for my family as a spy. With my wealth I have just purchased a new Falcata Bomber and outfitted it accordingly. In the few days I have flown this ship, I have come to realize what a magnificent ship she truly is. I have now begun the task of defending our beloved Planet Malta and the outlying bases from the Bounty Hunter and Corsair scum that seems to infest our systems.
Now that I have returned home, I realize how much I truly missed the orange fields. I shall never be far away, should any fellow Brother require assistance or information. My knowledge of Liberty Space is second to none and I have discovered many hidden paths that lead directly into the heart of the enemies territory. I am also familiar with the patrol paths of their police and military, having spent months observing their operations and methods.
I look foward to making some new contacts here and will defend our empire with my life if necessary.

...Was an excellent success! Will's told me all about it after hauling himself out of Gio's cockpit. Renaido, Basilo, Gio and Will (one of the RoS pilots, Scarlet.Wings, tagged along, as did the BLS's Aleksander) proceeded into Gamma, with only one bomber between them, went up against three Praefect-class Cruisers and three Legate-class Dreadnoughts, and disabled every damn one of the cruisers. Will was the only man downed, and he had to get hit by a piece of shrapnel from the third Praefect to do it. EXCELLENT work, people.

I bring grave news that all must hear. The Harvesters, those machines that have for so long troubled the Zoners, have shown their true colors towards us. Not an hour ago I received a distress call from Cali Base in Tau 23, telling that a Talacra Light Cruiser and two Bounty Hunter Gunships were attacking. Naturally, I called on all true brothers to rally to me, but all I received was two Sabres, [RoS]Osorojo and Thrakhath. Undaunted, I set a course and put my ship on condition "One", giving gunners free fire on all hostiles.
As we jumped to Tau 23, we saw the fiends docking with Java, which I naturally assume is some unholy alliance that was made, which may have precipitated such aggressions. Regardless, we flung ourselves at them, concentrating all fire on the Talacra. Inside a few minutes, their hull breached, before their collective firepower had even penetrated the Giustizia's shields.
OsoRojo was unfortunately caught in the blast radius as that beast of a ship was taken out, but soon after both other ships were crushed.
These new aggressions trouble me, and I feel you should consider them with the gravity of the situation. This can mean only one thing: War. Mia, I hope you make the right call this time.
