Quote: Jumping Outcast BSes in New York get the harsh treatment.
Only Jumping BSes?
P.S And I think that's not NY. It's California and one of the BS was already died and the other was already in Magellan, traveling out from Liberty. So logically, Crystal.Red was the only capship (or there were 2 scyllas: Crystal and Applejack) on their side in California.
And as I count, it's 2 Gunboats, 2 LABCs, a LSC, a Carrier and a bunch of snubs shooting him.
@Mimir/Tutashkhia - In total, that's not just =LSF=. Only 3 =LSF= ships there, so can't be said that =LSF= came in with huge numbers. Someone PM's us or says there are caps in the area, we come in. We can't control/dictate which indies or which [LN] ships come as well.
@Mimir - That doesn't make sense though really. If you're in a fight, and one or two ships die/leave, what, you're supposed to come up with some excuse to leave and not continue fighting?
If I come in with my LSF ship, and see it's a bunch of caps or gunboats against a lone fighter or something, sure. I'll abstain from the fight or sit and watch/RP. But if I come in, and there is a large battle against caps/snubs, and one side prevails, I'm not going to all of a sudden go "we have too many numbers now, I should back off". It's a group fight. If you start a group fight, one side is going to come out on top. Doesn't make sense to leave when one side gains the upper hand for the sake of more numbers or being fair. It's a fight that already is in process. That's like saying "Ok army, you killed part of our forces. If you can now back off and only leave a fair number to finish the fight, that'd be best."
Now, had =LSF= come into the fight when there was only a couple snubs, sure - then I'd say we could do better to stay out of a already outnumbered fight. But to expect us to leave when we gain the upper hand in an already existing fight isn't exactly reasonable. Though, from your screenshots I can't say one way or the other, since as John said in the [LN] feedback thread, it lacks context.
Well from my perspective, I duelled one guy who oorp'ly asked to be excused when we were nearly finished. I fly on, and I find him alongside a bunch of LN snubs and caps, fighting a few pirates (including pirate caps). I get into the fight, the snubs all seek cover around their caps and we try to pull them out. At that point we've only got 2 fighters our side, and I am not grouped with the rest of them.
Then you guys arrive on top of everything else, and the pirates start dropping like flies. I turn around and leave wholly convinced that it is only a matter of time before you've deleted everything else and it's my turn.
Sure, I didn't stay to find out this time. But I have played with you and against you on a number of occasions, on both tagged and untagged ships; I know some of the players a bit, so I am not really basing my assessment on thin air.
Either way, it's up to you. I know Spirit.Of.Fire requires certain attention, I tried to put a stop to his runs many times; but I still find the excessive ganks a bit over the top. I'll just leave when I see you do this thing again like I did before.
For me it doesn't matter much I'm attacked by 5 opponents or by 8.
I mean, if I'm attacked by a GB and 4 snubs, it doesn't matter if extra 3 LSF ships attack me too. 'cause either way I'd die.
It's totally up to you you keep shooting the lonely Cruiser with all the forces or just order some other pilots to stand by. We all know, either way that Cruiser would die. But still from an official faction people are expecting a bit better quality maybe.
Ok, so if =LSF= came in after the fight ended/the majority died, then yeah, we could definitely work on ganks and pulling back instead of jumping in. But if the fight warranted the 3 =LSF= coming in, then it's not really realistic to ask them to leave when the opposing numbers drop, regardless of which side is coming out on top.
