First things first, if this is the wrong place for me to post this (it's my first serious post on forums), then please direct me to where it should be and I'll bring it up there. Speaking on behalf of the Gaian Guard; we feel this event brings to light the awkwardness of current Gaian dynamics.

GG wants to win back the popular support of Bretonian public, and thus doesn't want to engage Bret ships. We do want to kick the Gallics out of Edinburgh and Leeds, as they are more likely to exploit and damage Gaia then even the Brets would be. It would fight the Gaian faction and our RP if we were able to ally with the Brets - albeit in a very uneasy and temporary alliance- in fighting the GRN. However, our ID prevents us from doing so.

We can't engage the GRN and we don't want to engage the Brets, and are thus forced out of participating. We find this conflict of interest to occur whenever we wish to interact with the Edinburgh, Leeds and Tau systems; and as such we resort to acting as common pirates in the Omega's and Cambridge - and even then pirating Bretonian transports contributing to the war effort contradicts our wider/higher level RP aims.

May I petition that either the 'can't attack Gallic' clause of the ID is removed, or that there is some discussion as to this situation so that more room for Gaian activity can be made? We would be more than happy to facilitate any changes with ingame or forum RP.
