Whatever you want to buy, don't buy GeForce 7300GT. It doesn't support Freelancer at all Smile Freezes computer very often when you're playing FL (especially if you use commodity/equipment dealer) and you need to restart it. Well allows to play with SWAG pack with full details, but well, don't buy it. Just a tip Smile

What the heck do you want to do with a dual core @2,2 GHz each when your graphics card is one like that. You'll have to look at the whole system and how they will work together

The question people should be asking is.....

Does his 'new' (to him) PC do what he wants it to do?

My PC is almost 'old tech' in the scheme of things, but it still does everything I want it to do and with reasonable speed as well.

I don't have any plans to do any major upgrades any time soon.

$75 for a functioning computer is outstanding value, even if the gear in it is as old as it sounds.

FYI, my PC specs are as follows, information gathered by a cool little program called 'Speccy', google it and see how cool it is and it's FREE!

Operating System
MS Windows XP Home 32-bit SP3

CPU
Intel Core i5 750 @ 2.67GHz 45 °C
Lynnfield 45nm Technology

RAM
8.0GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 666MHz (9-9-9-24)

Motherboard
Gigabyte Technology Co., Ltd. P55A-UD4 (Socket 1156)

Graphics
G276HL @ 1920x1080
AMD Radeon HD 5700 Series *1 GB of Ram

Hard Drives
977GB SAMSUNG SAMSUNG HD103SJ (SATA)
977GB Western Digital WDC WD10EARS-00Y5B1 (SATA)
1954GB Western Digital WDC WD20EURS-73TLHY0 (SATA)
488GB Western Digital WDC WD5000AADS-00S9B0 (SATA)
*4.5 Terabytes of HD space technically speaking.....

Optical Drives
BENQ DVD DC DW240S
KBS UF8TER8 SCSI CdRom Device *virtual drive

Audio
AMD High Definition Audio Device

Well, Rebirth is probably going from what your CPU-Z pics said and it does indeed say the video card only has 64 MB of RAM.

Information I have found via Gooogle, states that it could have anywhere up to 512 MB RAM on the video card and this page --> http://www.nvidia.com/page/7300_features.html says it has a feature called 'Turbocache'.

Quote:NVIDIA® TurboCache™ Technology
Shares the capacity and bandwidth of dedicated video memory and dynamically available system memory for turbocharged performance and larger total graphics memory. Available on GeForce 7300 GS and GeForce 7300 LE only

This reads like the video card is capable of supplementing the video RAM by 'borrowing/using' some of the RAM on the motherboard or something along that line.

Grab 'Speccy' from Piriform, run that and see what it says about your PC, I have no idea how it will go with a system as old as yours, but it could be quite interesting!

At any rate, as it is doing what you want it to and not causing you any grief, leave it alone.

As somebody said, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it." Smile
