I second Unselie's opinion here.

A lane project and completed lanes as separate steps in separate mod versions would be better and would illustrate the changement accordingly.
During the "Lane Project" status, the trade of construction machinery and gate/lane parts into Dublin could be improved by higher selling prices of said commodities - this would give DSE another job to do:)

(Short off-topic: I'd like it if the trade lanes in Hokkaido would be only partially completed - as is the trade lane to the Tau 23 Gate in Tau 31)

The Hokkaido lanes have been under construction for 30 game years, while the Tau ones have been postponed due to war.

Hokkaido lanes should be finished, in my opinion.
While I'm on the topic, there should be a lane project in omega 11 between Solarius and the stuttgart JG, because thats a line of lanes that goes nowhere as of now. In Dublin, I suggest moving Essex closer to the Gate, having a lane project from the gate/essex to Graves, from graves to arranmore, and from arranmore to Hood, but not a loop. In my oppinion, lanes should terminate at dockable structures, and a lane from the hood to the NL gate would go through the sun. (please do not bring up the roppingi bends in kepler, they're weird.)

Please feel free to tell me to bugger off if this is not relevant / already been mentioned...but are the trade lanes in Tau 31 ever going to be finished??

I always thought that custom aspects applied to the custom systems (new ones such as Eta, Virginia, etc) but if, as it seems, the original systems can be changed as well, this would be a nice touch.

Again, i'm not sure if this has already been brought up or disregarded for earlier mod versions.

Tau 31 lanes are still unfinished because they factor into the singleplayer campaign, which is still playable, and Igiss wants to keep.

Why should people build tradelanes to mobile spaceships like the essex or junk-patches like the hood? Including the essex doesn't make much sense, including the hood even less. maybe IMG should start building its own refinery in Dublin while the essex would be deployed at the BMM base, so it doesn't get mobbed?

On a further note, isn't it likely that Dublin government wouldn't like to have BMM around anyway and rent out most parts of the fields to the IMG instead?

Well, BMM are there....harder to change that. I'm sure in the terms of the agreement, the BMM are supposed to keep Graves, and be treated decently.

Move the Essex to the gate, so its from the gate and Essex to Graves. I thought hood was stuck there...we could extend the establishment with a stationary trade center too, direction of funds into nonmilitary sectors...

Ah...
Quote:The Hood was an abandoned hulk until it was re-pressurized by a few enterprising members of the Independent Mining Guild looking to make a fast buck. The Hood is now a floating bazaar where the Mollys come to trade, usually paying in Gold. The most popular pastime aboard the ship involves racing through the neighboring asteroid field; most races generally end with a survivor as opposed to a winner.

It's already a stationary trade centre. Just read the infocard.
