I want to join a faction which is either trading-oriented or has a trading department. The point behind this is such that I have free time at night to spend playing while I have to do boring paperwork. This way I can generate activity, perform RP on occasional encounters, make credits.
Preferably, I'd like to join a faction which lacks activity and need a member.
I will be posting the replacement Rogue group somewhere around January. It will, no doubt have something to do with smuggling, if you like that sort of thing. So if you enjoy making money and run around with cargo and are looking for something perhaps a bit more RP-orientated, that could be one.

Bowex would be a good choice. You've got the chance to do as little or as much as you want in the way of RP and you can trade at your own free will! The Crown Services will support you with what ever RP plans you have too.
PFI and Cryer are probably in need of the members, while ALG, IMG and Bowex have their more regular convoys (I don't know how well that would suit you, sounds more like you want to be solo-trading a bit).
Might as well throw CR|'s hat into the ring, we have our Mover department which is RPed as more of "a collection of fairly independent transport captains" anyway. Actually comes with good relations with all the above-mentioned factions too.
