Recently during a battle in omicron minor as core fighting the order there was a bug/glitch almost exactly like the perma cloak glitch from jumping (that was fixed). I figured I'd mention that along with this thread I don't have screens but @Lythrilux might. As for the title topic, I have no idea why minor was made a buffer system, I don't think it really had a positive effect unless people really hate pewpews in the omicrons. At least in crease the scanner range to like 6-7k rather than its current (2k???) its quite irritating to have fights there with that scanner range. Of course one side could just go to delta/zeta but I find myself clashing with order more in minor.

To be honest I like the O-Minor and its reduced scanner range. It was like this even on vanilla servers and I don't think that it should be changed. After all the "graveyard" has a specific atmosphere that you can encounter everything everywhere.
So there's a NO from me

The scanner range should be upped to the maximum weapon range for caps. For obvious reasons.

Cap fights don't usually go down there, however I guess that's a reason. I always fly vhfs/bombers in cloudy systems like minor.

That goes for any system with reduced scanner range, not just Minor, really.

When Minor was out of the way and not a buffer system this was less problematic because fights wouldn't be draw there. Now the it is a buffer system it's irritating for both being a buffer system and the scan range. Minor always felt like a "showcase" system, rather than something to pool activity into.

Would be nice if the Zeta-Delta link could just be restored.

or maybe move capetown in Rho, meskhenet in Mu and erase Zeta's existance. Re-linking Delta with Minor and Iota and voila, fixed.

Minor is honestly an awful system to have as a link. I'd pick any other system over it.

MInor could work as an entrance to nomnom territories, cloudy, annoying and painful - just perfect while comparing with its limited visibility. It's just perfect to be an very dangerous system, if NPCs were strong enough... But that's an another story

And yes:
