Background:

LNS-Fury a newly commissioned Liberty Dread of the 5th Fleet, has been conducting operations on the frontline with Gallia. Most recent operations included the defense of California.

For her latest mission, agents inside the LSF have had contact with a GRN defector codename: - "Cobalt-1", is an officer of the ONI (Gallic Intelligence Service) fearing for his own life he has agreed to hand over top secret documents he has stolen to the LSF in exchange for asylum in Liberty.

The LSF are currently over-stretched and do not have the resources to extract him on their own but he must be rescued as the information he holds could be invaluable to the allies!

The LSF have drafted in the help of the Liberty Navy for this mission but due to its delicate nature upmost secrecy has been maintained about the specifics of the mission.

LNS Fury is a highly advanced Navy Dreadnought equipped with Stealth Technology and its captain Jack Steele with extended battle experience in Magellan and Leeds, is the perfect man for the job.

Task of LNS Fury is to rendezvous with Cobalt-1 in the Tau 31 system at an undisclosed location to pick up the agent, with the assets secure (Cobalt-1 ship and the Classified Materials). LNS Fury must make its way back to Liberty without the aid of its cloaking device as it will not have enough cloak fuel for the return journey.

The trouble begins in Tau 31, as the ONI are already aware one of their agents is missing and that he has taken top secret intel with him. Following the ion trail of his ship they corner him down to the Tau 31 system and alert the Royal Navy who attempt to lock down the system.

LNS Fury manages to make a break for it through the Leeds gate and is chased by the Royal Navy all the way to the Magellan hole. Heavily damaged, Fury is finally intercepted in Magellan half way between Battleship Carcassonne and Freeport 4 where a stand off ensues.

The Royal Navy cannot destroy the Fury as it has Cobalt-1 and the Classified Materials on board, ONI want the assets returned intact! Royal Marines are called from Leeds to storm the Fury and take control of the ship and its contents.

While the GRN taskforce wait for the marines to arrive unawares, a LSF / Liberty Navy fleet is on the way to relieve LNS Fury at Freeport 4 and take possession of Cobalt-1. Fury does not arrive at Freeport 4 on time and a recon wing is sent out to locate it.

Homing in on a distress beacon, the recon wing locate the Fury and the Royal Navy ships surrounding it and call for reinforcements......



GRN / ONI Objectives:

Destroy the Liberty Navy / LSF fleet and secure the Fury for boarding by the Royal Marines that are on the way, all enemy forces must be destroyed before the Fury can be stormed.

If the Fury is destroyed before Liberty Fleet is neutralised the event will end in a null result as the assets on board must be retrieved intact. If the Gallic taskforce is destroyed this will result in a win for Liberty.


LN / LSF Objectives:

Destroy the Royal Navy / ONI taskforce and escort the Fury back to Libertonian space, all enemy forces must be destroyed before the Fury can be moved.

If the Fury is destroyed the event will end in a null result as the assets on board must be retrieved intact. If the Liberty fleet is destroyed this will result in a win for Gallia.



Event Restraints:

Because this is a RP event and not just a pewfest, there will be restrictions on the number of ships that can take part / ship types.

Due to recent events in California, Liberty has lost quite a few dreadnoughts and thus will not be able to spare any to aid the Fury as it has to utilize them for home defense. This restriction will make the fight more interesting as the pressure will be against Liberty to perform.

No Cloaks, Jumpdrives or Docking Modules are to be used!
