Simple as that really.

I want a new video card. But while I'm at it I need to get two. But two would be to expensive, so I need to compensate with a new PSU, motherboard, processor and RAM.

I have decided on everything, except the video card.

So...

The Gigabyte Nvidia GeForce 8800GTS or the Asus Nvidia GeForce 9800GTX

I would say get a 8800GTS 512Mb, it is cheaper, and the 9800GTX is only better in high resultions. But if you whant to play games on 1920x1200 or higher than get the 9800gtx.

9800GTX - Way too loud and way to expensive. By the time you get a game that needs that kind of power to run it, the card will have gone down by at least 400 dollars.

8800GTS - More quiet than the 9800GTX, but still expensive. I'd wait a little bit before getting them.

I've already ordered the 98's and my girlfriend put them in for me. All she said was they run extremely loud and raddle a crap load inside the case.

Wait a bit before you go and break the bank on these cards, they're way to expensive right now.

Stick in a bit of cardboard, mate. it'll run FL, and won't make noise, overheat your PC, or get in the way of the slot below it.

I'm leaning more towards the cardboard...But I fear computability issues...
Is there any texture you would recommend?

Looks a bit expensive for my budget.
Then again, I can probably wet it down.

And shipping to New Zealand? That looks like its an American model:P

Eh, it'd be fine. Hell, if it costs too much, just get them to ship the box. You can always make new cards out of that!
