So, as usual, the rules apply to everyone else except you and your faction... Core caps should be limited to systems where core has npc bases. Period.

Oh, and its BHG core.

Our Omega base is technically Tholey right now, because Rostock (which was our Omega base) was repurposed into that. It really doesn't matter what anyone else thinks though, because we're getting a new standalone base in the Omegas anyway. As I've said lorewise nothing has changed in regards to our presence in the Omegas. Period.

Besides, why should only our caps be limited to systems where we have NPC bases? RoS, Order, Hessian, Coalition, Corsairs (etc.), the list goes on, all have ZoI in both the Omegas and Omicrons, yet besides Corsairs none of them have bases in both. Why should Core get screwed over for no reason?

And let’s face it. The Omegas right now are DEAD. Let me ask the community, including the staff a question:
What help will it possibly do by removing Core ZoI and taking an entire faction out of the Omegas, other than reducing activity for all factions involved and greatly lowering the number of interactions?

Core is one of the most active factions in Disco, and our indiebase has finally begun to see some good growth as well. We revived the Omicrons; let us keep our Omega ZoI so that we can help revive the Omegas too.

It's not like the factions in the Omegas don't want us there either. Well, bar OSI- because salty oorp-hating and core-hating Doria is a wee bit bitter and upset over non-existent spilt milk with a hint of butthurt.

*Shrugs* BHG Core is part of our lore and I'd feel bad if I forgot everything they did. Especially when it's my predecessors who gave and justified us Omega ZoI, as well as got the faction into Iridium mining Wink

That was not polite. Be excellent to eachother folks and do not tell somebody 'shut up'. - The Moderation Team

Lyth has some valid points, so I agree with him. I also agree with snake, Coalition indies with phoons in omegas only would make things fair. Noew if jack disagrees, that's purely because he can't counter that as he doesn't have the "skilled" people on his side. *wink wink* He should be grateful Lyth brings stuff around. Just saying.

As a "newbie", maybe my view of things is a bit naive, but if you ask me, Lyth gave the Core SO MUCH background, so many good threads here in the forum to read about, so many stories I'm currently reading... in comparison, it's much more lore behind the Core than behind A LOT of other factions. Also, the points he states here are solid. There's so much effort about that, and some guys here tend to ignore it entirely.

Just sayin'

Luc have some valid points like house cap noobs rolling around and forcing RP, for this kind of problem I would suggest limiting Battleships, Carriers and assault carriers to Official factions , this will also help in increasing faction activity a bit

Depends. If said official faction has strict rules regards access to capital ships (very high ranking system, high degree of trust ofnthe leadership ), and said factions did not reform said system for any possible reason, you would get a small surge in new arrivals at the faction, and most of them would give up on playing it, rather than facing a year long or so struggle to gain the position needed to reuse their capitals.

Nah, keep Capitals availible for everyone. Just restrict indie caps to their ZoI.

That's a really good suggestion but for indies only, now the second proposal I came across on unlawful ids was " Can not ally with any lawfuls " well according to me it will destroy all intelligence agency RP fun
