Every faction operating in Liberty would like to have an update on the situation about the PvP in NewYork. We are now at least 48 hours after the deactivation of the feature, But It was stated that the Feature was going to be turned on after 24 hours.

And for once, The idea, even if it was intended to do something good(improve the situation), made the situation in Liberty even worse than it was. I don't think you want me to state all the example, I have a full list of them...
New York's a ghost town, now (or at least when I was there), when it comes to RP, because all the serious RPers seemed to have gone to systems where they could support their RP with PVP.
I like the part that People are speading out of NY indeed,,, but the prob is mainly pirates and Traders RPing even less than before (e.g. a dessie parking itself in front of manhattan... smugglers going in alaska and jumping to NY to protect themselves, etc)
Today, i ended up chasing several pirates, and quite a few smugglers and where did they run to? you got it, new york.
When they got there, some of them teased about me not being able to get them now that they are in new york. Im sure others wouldn't like it if they got their main system shut off, Think? Turn the guns off on all the house capitals, and see.
I don't personally agree with turning off the pvp in New York, but it has one side effect...
It groups all the oorp nubs together. An admin could just log on, bam bam bam fine tons of the constant OOC'ers / Dessie pilots outside of manhattan telling jokes, etc.

Problem is, once an admin signs on, all the people scatter from Manhattan.
Can we please not single out the pirates? Please ... we've got enough threads out there about how bad pirates role play. Nobody likes it when SA, LSF, RM, KNF or any other faction gets beat up on ... so can we please not go beating up on the pirates.
There are traders doing the same thing. Pirates chasing a trader and the trader jumps to NY and laughs at the pirate ... "your guns can't do anything to me now." And no ... its not just smugglers ... its the generic traders as well. Pirates for the most part don't pirate smugglers ... hint hint.
I'm all for turning the guns back on in NY. Makes the threats from SA and LSF more realistic. ;)
Oh ... and because PVP is turned off in NY ... everyone thinks that RP is turned off as well. Hey folks ... RP is still in effect last I checked. There's no admin on/off switch for that.
