We are a clan who strive for the prosperity and freedom of the people of Sirius even if we must engage in acts against the corrupt governments of the four houses. (We are similar to the Order)
However, we are not pirates.  So I guess we are a semi-legal clan.

If we MUST be associated with an NPC faction, it will be the Corsairs and the Junkers.

Well....as of right now we are neutral to all other clans.

Although we claim the Omegas we will also operate extensively in the other border, edge, and independent worlds.

As of right now we will not tax any players.(this may change later)
However, I would ask all characters in the Omegas to state their business there.

Um... If you're willing to attack the "corrupt" house governments, you aren't really a "legal" clan are you? You'd be an enemy of the houses like the Order.

Um.... You can't be associated to two factions as far as I know...

Unlike most servers, we no longer allow controlled systems. Only a home system... And that home system has to make sense to the faction you are associated with (i.e. they have to have a base in that system.)

Although we claim the Omegas we will also operate extensively in the other border, edge, and independent worlds.

Once again, only a home system can be used. In these other systems you are free to engage, but there can be NO system taxing or forcing people to pay for safety unless you are, in fact, pirates. Asking is fine, but no telling them to get out. Even if you do, they probably will stay anyway, so why bother?

PS: We are recruiting new members. Are you worthy of being a shadow?

Why would people join if they have no REAL idea about what you do? Perhaps a little more detail would be useful to gain more members' attention.




AND LASTY:

Igiss has to approve *ALL* factions and *ALL* system claims... Probably associations, too...

Just thought you'd like to know before you illegally tried to kick someone out of your "controlled" systems.... Don't yell at me for trying to be helpful! D:

Another thing. Um Virus you are wrong on ONE thing (and only 1 the other stuff I all agree with). You don't have to be pirates to tax people on entering your systems. AW used to tax people. Though it didn't really work well, it was mainly just RP anyway as we didn't really enforce it that much. N.Order did (and I think still does) tax Megellan but noone enforces it, and there are rarely any N.Order people on anyway. Thats two merc factions. I believe its only if you are a house government faction are you RESTRICTED from taxing...

Everything else Virus said was right. You only "control" one system, your home system. The only time other systems come into play is if you are at war, and then you have an area of influence ONLY during the war. And you don't have completely unrestricted access with the system (ie: kicking people out). for example AW, out home system Omicron Theta. When at war I believe our current area of influence is Omicron Alpha, Beta, Theta, Gamma, Sigma-13, 17, 19, Tau-37. This area of influence is determined by Igiss the admin. I believe its determined by the size, strength, activeness, and membership count of the faction.

None of the omegas are available, I believe, Cause Igiss wants them saved, just like the Omicorn Delta, Minor and the Unknowns.

Omega 49 for a home system? A *NEW* system for that? Oh, boy.. hope he doesn't go all ape **** ;)

Seriously.. there's no corsair base in Omega49. There's one in 47, 5 and one of the others, but you'll find them primarily covered with Red Hessians. So if you want to be Corsair, Omicron Gamma is the best home system as that's the Corsair home system. Alas, it's not claimable right now.

Guys....this is all VERY VERY confusing. I think the Factions thread needs to be updated. :(

I thought u could still "Claim" systems.....Examples: RM controls Rheinland...DVL controls Kusari... :rtfm:

So what's the problem with claiming the Omegas...especially the corsair controlled ones?
I would have bought Omicron Gamma(since we will be associated with the Corsairs)BUT IT'S NOT AVAILIABLE TO BE BOUGHT!!!!! :angry:

Discovery is supposed to be an RP server right?!? So why are most of the FRICKIN systems "closed" or whatever? You want RP but over half of the systems can't be bought/controlled. The only ones Owned r the House systems.
(btw...I do understand the thing about the Nomad worlds, Connecticut, Alaska and Omicron Minor, they should be left open....but not the others)

I don't understand why Igiss has put so many limits on what systems can be owned. It really limits clans, especially pirates and "outcast" clans like the Zoners, Corsairs, Outcasts, etc.....and could be one explanation for all the non-system owning clans(there's like 40 million of em)

oh...and Wolf.....our home system is Omega 47...not Omega 49

The main problem is you have to ASK For those systems, at least. DVL owns Kusari because its a house faction, RM Rheinland, same thing...

Now, the AW only has Theta... They are Zoners...

LOS could be Corsair, but you would have to ASK for the systems... And Gamma is off limits for usage because of something someone did...

(Namely kicking pirates out of Gamma... Well, at least attacking them non-stop...) NO NAMES THOUGH!

If you do take Gamma, you'd have to put up with, well, every pirate on the server having free roam in your system, but eh.... They'll do that anywhere...

You'll have to talk to Igiss about the limit on the Omegas, Delta and Unknowns.

And Dealer, you're mis-interpreting the Faction Status Thread.

here's the rules:

1) We no longer use the system claiming model. We haven't for months. We use "Zone of Influence". Meaning you take a tag (corsair, zoner, whatever) and remain as close to it as possible. If you take a corsair tag, you can claim *ONE* system as your 'home system'. all the house factions have only *ONE* home system to their name, but their zone of influence extends far outside that system.

2) All factions are subject to the approval of Igiss and/or Server Admins.

3) Restrictions on which systems are available are due to the fact we have too many factions being formed on a regular basis. We have a FINITE number of systems. We'd like to make it as simple as possible for other factions to have breathing room, and if we have 400 factions in the server, others will have problems.

I'm not 100% sure why Igiss keeps all of the Omegas unclaimed, but I do know why Delta, Unkowns and Gamma are unavailable.

Gamma due to some PVP crap a few months ago. Won't go any further.

Delta/Unknowns - All new systems. Also Nomad-infested ones. Alaska isn't claimable cause of the Liberty systems being unclaimable (Major Agreement among the major factions). Beyond that, that's all I know. Igiss may have better reasoning.

If you wanna go Corsair, PLEASE talk to igiss first. None of the new systems are claimable while they've been released on the current version if I remember correctly.
