A new Xenos faction?

I just thought about creating an attempt for an official faction, the Xenos don't have one at the moment and maybe i would give it a try, this is a big step for me because i never lead anything before (as far as i know duh) and i am almost afraid i will totally fuck it up. The Disco community never forgets and will always remember your mistakes.

Reasons why i would do it:

• Xenos don't have a faction
  
  I am interested in leading something
  
  I basically have the time (Can be online everyday for mostly at least 3 hours)
  
  I am very active in general and could spend my online time into the faction
  
  Liberty has very many options for factions to develop themselves, i may have criticised the extreme amount in Liberty etc. but think that there are more lawfuls than unlawfuls, another faction that fights evil evil LN balances the overall gameplay while doing nothing to Kusari emptiness, Gallia emptiness and helping new players having fun because Xenos are the ISIS of Liberty.
  
  I am fairly good at RP if i have a character that i like.

I don't want to be a faction that is hated to an ooRP level, the Xenos are house terrorists and leave a big "hate us" sign above their heads, i can say that because i can't judge people who would hate a Xeno faction simply because they exist for making the non-liberty trader's day bad.

Doing a wiki and info page is a lot of work too and i am a newb when it comes to the wiki and a bit to the forum, i am here for a year now but started with forum RP only a few months back.

I want to make my part to the community, not be an asshole group who annoy others.

I wouldn't do it if even on this thread voices would scream "Don't do it!!!" creating a new unlawful group drives the thought in trader's and military's minds that there is new scum and thus has to be treated carefully. Making a trading faction can't even receive the amount of hate an unlawful faction could receive.

I want your opinion.

You're overthinking it entirely.

First, never try to get feedback or approval from the community, this place is a fickle hellhole of opinion.

Second, learn about your selected faction including its ID, limits and ingame description. Reading any previous faction info is a pretty good way to get an overall picture and solid grounding.

Finally, ask for anyone who is interested to contact you and go from there. Keep it simple and fun, have scheduled fly times and don't be afraid to push the boundries a little.

That's all there is to it really, you just gotta hold your nose and take the plunge.

Actually, I was thinking of involving Xenos and Junkers (and maybe Hogosha) in the next event. If you gather up a Xeno group till then, I am sure you will have stuff to do.

Also if you're too worried about starting an official faction - don't aim that big from start, start with just unofficial status as the plan, get the feel of the faction, decide if you like it and then you can always throw those 500 mil away to try and become official.
