Previous versions of Discovery

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this thread, and I apologize if it isn't.

I absolutely love Discovery, but being in Australia there are almost no servers with a decent ping (260 if I'm lucky). There is one Australian server I want to join but it runs off of 88.1 rather than 88.6. Is there any way I can find the standalone 88.1 version of discovery, or play it through the launcher?

Thank you for finding that. Unfortunately, it still goes through the launcher which automatically updates it to 88.6

Can you find out how to contact the owner(s) of that Australian server? If so , ask them to upgrade to 88.6, so you can play on their server.

Or just ask them for their version or if they just go past things by starting the exe directly or something of that sort.

That's going to be pretty tricky, 88.1 was used for a lot of vernums over almost a year, it's pretty much impossible for you to find the exact revision this server is running considering the patches have been packaged. Ask the owner to update the server, it's all you can do.

OR... if they have a forum for that community, ask someone to RAR the install and send it to ya!

Or just do as Alley said and make 'em update the old thing to latest ver.
