Er.. BHG liberty cruisers are really easy to kill off, easier then gunboats, is this how they're supposed to be?

Can some of the 'tractor loot' missions be altered for house systems?

Reason is because I was thinking that having pirates in the house systems pay alot for a freelancer to destroy a prison ship/transport and 'rescue' their mates would be a good idea.

Could the same also be done for police/military missions where you have to 'tractor loot' eg. rescue prisoners or VIPs from a pirate base/cap-ship...

Oh, nearly forgot (again)...

The NPC corsair titans are easily capable of killing off player BS's faster then a player... Especially if theres 8 or more of them swarming you.

Now I think either:-

All NPC VHFs need to be able to seriously hurt a player BS at the very least.

Which, probably, means they all need to get a tizona del cid or adv. debilitor mounted as well as maybe having 2 ships in every 4 with sunslayer torpedo launchers.

Or:-

We alter player BSs again so that only bombers have a chance (and then they'd need a wingman or two) of killing one. So a player fighter with nova weps, colada del cids and codenames won't be able to do much to a player BS, apart from annoy it.

Also:-

Every single NPC BS and cruiser/destroyer I scan have 1 or 2 turret mounts empty.

Could NPC BSs and cruisers/destroyers get an inferno turret?

Then players would have to work together to kill off NPC cap-ship patrols or get killed by them.

Docking Bug:
I noticed yesterday when using a Transport in Newcastle system, docking ALWAYS turned my ship around and backed me into Gateshead station. Using F3 did not help. It would still turn me around and back me in a v e r y s l o w p r o c e s s! Can this be fixed?

Had another idea about some more missions...

A 'destroy base mission' but you have to destroy a shipyard instead of an outpost, weapon platforms or a large space station.

Would probably need to set the difficulty level so that only a group of 2 or 3 BSs could do the mission and have it in a really remote location to explain why it took so long to find it.

Pay out would need to be at least a million credits.

But these missions should be really rare and only against the BHG, corsairs, outcasts, liberty rogues and the mollys as they are the only non-house NPC factions that use cap-ships and don't have access to their own shipyard (the corsairs tripoli shipyard builds fighters, according to the info card).

hmmm..this isnt based on current conversation but i may have found solution for our shiled problem...
i play few diferent kinds of mods and on one i found solution for shileds...instead of making BS, cruiser,GB and transport shileds diferent classes u just make more shileds mountable on BS , less on cruiser and so on...
example:

BS:- mountable 4 shileds (level 10 with about 90000 capacity- that makes 360000)
Cruiser:- mountable 3 shileds (level 10 with about 90000 capacity- that makes 270000)
GB:- mountable 2 shileds (level 9 with about 70000 capacity- that makes 140000)
Liners:- mountable 2 shileds (level 8 with about 60000 capacity- that makes 120000)
Transports:- mountable 1 shileds (level 9 with about 90000 capacity- that makes 90000)

In that way u simply cant mount more powerfull shiledding on smaller class ships...

Your thoughts please

simply reduce shiled cost...and about the work..hmmm...nobody said it would be easy...but if u look on forum u will see that third of it is about wrong shiled on wrong ships... :P ...arent u allready sick of that?...

Okay here comes a ton of suggestions, mostly style and graphical stuff. :D

Maybe add enginetrails for the ships. They add more atmosphere and players will feel more like their part of the FL universe because NPC have the trails too, so why players shouldnt have them?
Improved Battleship turret placement? I noticed the Rheinland Cruiser has not the characteristic tri-turrets on the towers like it should have, can more turrets for the different houses be added? The flak turret is quite in efficient it is very slow and cant hit fighters well
The nomad fighter looks....bad with those shield inside and the thruster and that standart equipment, can there be any special nomad equipment wich is invisible?

I dont know if this fits into Suggestions, its more like a hybrid between Suggestions and something else... :mellow:
Well Pirates have a very difficult life here. How a pirate should do what a pirate does: Robbing freighers, if even the most simple cargo trains are shielded(unlike npc) and with class 10 rapidfire turrets...okay it would be kind of a bad situation for the traders if they only have hull and Transport Turrets...but no one fears level 30 pirates anymore, almost everyone got an ship wich can kill Nomads...wich leads to the next chapter: Power. Almost everyone uses class 10 weapons. I must admit i use them too, their effective BUT they screw the atmosphere in my opinion. At freelancer singleplayer Rheinland for example was a strong military power...at MP no one cares because class 10 weapons. How to rp if almost everyone you meet got either an huge ship or an small ship with class 10 stuff?
Okay this sounds like i really dont like this mod, but thats wrong because then i wouldnt write this here, i wouldnt be on the server and i wouldnt write this sentence, so dont take this offensive. :) I really appreciate the modder's work here and i only want to help making this mod having more options for players who like their chars being "normal" like in the FL universe: Appropriate equipped Rheinland battleships, normal pirates or even an Nomad char with an nomad ship without black shield inside or a big gun mounted on the wings top. :(

Please answer and tell what would be possible and what not (and maybe a reason why not) that would be cool :yahoo:

Maybe to make less ships have class 10's:

VHF's with less class 10 wep slots.

Bug with the rhienland gunboat.

If you mount a solaris or any gun, other then the gunboat forward one, onto the gunmount it can shoot backwards.

The first turret mount can only fire forward and straight down.

I noticed some information cards are incorrect. Namely Planet Toledo and Planet Gammu list that they sell Huegenot engines. I have visited both and they are not for sale at either location.
