No, it's not "a year's fault", but this was a year that contained a lot of tragedy, a lot of history, and a lot of pain for a lot of people - I'd argue moreso than the last five or ten years, probably. At least more than the year prior.

This was the worst year I've experienced in recent memory (mainly for...personal reasons), and I'm sure a lot of people feel the same way.
