Here's what I will do. I'll take a screenshot of every trader I pirate and we'll see how it goes.
Can I make a forum topic, something like "name that shame" where I can discuss how traders reacted to my pirating? Since I've got two or three names already in my head who's trading experience I'ld like to share with the community.
again, I'm asking you all here before I actually do it. I'm a nice guy who respects the rules.
Only if you blur out the traders name, otherwise it'd be a mass trial-by-forum and become a flamefest

ok, sometimes happend to me, when i was in gamma or somewhere near and i stop trader, he refuse to stop. so i fire cd disrupt him from cruise and then i open fire. my goal was not to kill him, only make big damage to him to show him that is not good idea disobeyng orders from corsair in corsair space. in 99 percent when this happend, trader fire back. and when he fire back it is classic fight.
i will not say that pirate must try always make damage and wait if the trader fire back,i only say what happend to me.
(but on the other side, some traders now know that tinky can eb very dangerous and is better to stop and pay some money :cool: )

Trial by forum or public lynching or whatever you will call it won't couse towards you too much friendly attitude. Complaining (whining?) all over the place how those 'bad traders don't want to roleplay with me' solves anything. Deal with it. And keep developing your own RP, stick to it and ignore if other don't role play, it's their loss.
I keep seeing these threads appearing, and the same arguments from both sides rehashed over and over and over. It's getting very boring.
Basically, any pirate saying something different to the ubiquitous "2 mil or die" is someone that is trying to roleplay the situation.
Show some respect and try to return the favour.
Please stop digging out loopholes. They will always be there to be exploited. It's up to all of us to show some maturity and not use them.
The phrase "Would you be so kind as to donate to my cause?", or something similar, when delivered by a pirate is a demand. It's obvious. The specifics of that demand can surely come later as the situation develops.
Use a bit of the old (un)common sense and weyhey, we've got an RP situation on our hands. It's really NOT THAT DIFFICULT.
Then can come the description of the cause, the haggling, the escort safely through space, etc, etc, etc.
The rule lawyering that keeps on appearing in these threads is sickening.
This is a game that DEPENDS upon the interaction between players. If you're not prepared to interact, please go and find somewhere else to play.
I'm talking to both the pirates that only say "2 mil or die" and the traders who say "I'd rather die than pay".
Rant over. I'm not accusing any particular person here. Just trying to say please, please, please get into the spirit of the game. If anything I've said upsets you, then feel free to flame me to your hearts content. I just hope that some little bit of what I've said here starts to sink in.
"Hi, I think you will be a nice trader and give me a 2M donation for my cause ! So put your engines completly down or you will let me no choise to kill you"
Its pretty long to write and when he's only at 2k distance to jump/tradeline, its simply impossible.
There is no macro and there will not be. Learn to type fast. What is more you don't need to type the whole sentence at once, every CD gives you additional 4-5 seconds, not fair enough?
