New House?

After looking through all this, I've got to say that I'm not in favor of this change. I think we should look to expanding the existing houses before adding one. Personally, if we are going to add one, I'd like to see something middle eastern, though.

has anyone thought about this really? i mean for all we know this new house could be the NEW starting zone!:D

instead of New York being stuck with lots of OORP and level 5 starfleas they would now start at New France and think "oh my god im in france...im getting our of here! <insert other house here> here i come!!" haha:Dwould be the ultimate in system clearing heh


although speaking of super-powers what about India? they are not communists as far as i know and have got nuclear technology plus they are pretty smart people

but other than that i would of liked to see an Austrialian or maybe an Irish house...?:)

anyway i like this! if it is going to be located in the space of the Tau's (it is pretty empty up there compared to the rest) it would give Bretonia and the Tau's a great boost in activity:D

hmmm,. another point, is discovery not maked as playable in singleplayer? i think igiss will it maked so. and adding new house will not affect the singleplayer story ?

It shouldn't affect it at all if it is all in seperate systems.

An Irish house probably wouldn't work, the Molly Republic would be the closest thing to it (And a very nice addition)

Hmm... Yes. Have several places selling decent enough ships to get by hundreds of hardcore NPCs through five straight-shot systems in order to get out of France. Perhaps with a station/planet or two in between in order for repairs.

I might be a little new here, but I would rather see the current houses balanced a little more than adding a new one. I mean, I'm fairly certain 50% of our population has no clue where Minnesota or New Hampshire are, and I'm fairly sure they're empty anyway...

A new starting house might be a good idea, though...

Why Scandinavian? Why not a Russian?

Multiple reasons:
1. Russia and the most of the rest of Eastern Europe is Coalition.
2. Scandianavians are awesome designers; just think of the possible ship designs!
3. 1 word: Vikings. How kickass would it be to be a Viking pirate?
4. Massive Trade opportunities
5. Scandinavians have awesome names
6. Scandinavians have awesome women
7. Scandinavians overall are pretty much teh sex.

But the Italians are dead or they've reverted back to something like Mussolini's regime. Either way, they're chillin on Earth. The Scandinavians weren't mentioned because they were neutral in the whole thing, trying to hold their dikes (not that kind you pervs!) together while the missiles flew back and forth over their heads.
