Hi. The Bounty Hunters are a predominantly lawful force who while, yes, do us the favor or cleaning up OCs and Rogues now and then, are also onboard with the Republic to shoot at us and both of our only allies.

Furthermore, the HF is an extremely ideological faction and generally frowns (at least publicly) upon the idea of killing for money. While I agree that roleplay ought to be handled on a case by case basis (and in this case, I wasn't there), shooting Hunters generally shouldn't be considered a problem unless they're actively stating that they have no interest in engaging, and even then they're walking on very, very thin ice.

It's also worth noting that the official BHG| faction makes a habit of out of hunting down and crushing us under their boot heels, so that's a thing too. Obviously indies =/= BHG|, but at the end of the day both are representing the same NPC faction so it would be rather illogical for us to not expect the same from your average hunter.

I hope that might clear up some of your concerns.

- J

Well you can't always be on the ganking side, Nepo. I mean it did work in Delta and then in Pennsylvania, but eventually it had to cease.

I don't mind getting ganked by snubs, but when battleships are involved that's just not right. While I was getting shot by 4 or 5 vhfs and a bs none of you had the kindness to tell the battleship to stop it. That's what annoyed me the most, not the poor snubs.

Just fly away from the battleship. It goes at 90m/s impulse. How hard would that be?

So... here's the deal.

I agree with you, in principle, that what happened wasn't the most fun possible response that, theoretically, could've been provided. I absolutely want to be able to provide a response which is fun for people on both sides. We couldn't do that this time around for two reasons.

- You had the skill on your side
- You had the numbers on your side

With these circumstances in mind, I had two options, which are as follows:

1: Provide a good time for your guys, by having all my guys, on a worse skill level, log less fighters than you already had.
2: Provide a good time for my guys, by having my guys field a composition which was difficult for you to counter and play things defensively.

Now for anyone who knows me, you know that 99.99% of the time, I go with option 1. But I wanted my guys to log on and have a good time today, and not feel awful about their gameplay experience. This doesn't mean that you should expect this to become the norm, and in fact I've been doing my absolute best to get my guys to participate in weekly training sessions to get them on the level where they can go toe to toe with you against worse or equal odds.

-----------------------

Elaborating on this point, and how things can be improved, is that the best thing you can possibly do with me is communicate. If I had received any notion from the Aoi side that they intended to hold some of their people back to even out the dogfight, any sort of message along the lines of "yo, how can we make this a fun experience for the both of us?" I would 110% would have been onboard with that. But I didn't, so I conducted my people the way that I did.

In summary, if you're interested in both parties having a good time, communicate. I don't bite.

Unless you're into that.

Why are your ships spending 6+ hours on at a time when it's conveniently close to the end of the quarter? And also why are the ships seemingly impossible to find despite a full sweep of the sector that they seem to be in? Beta.6 is at 11 hours(at the time of this post) from sitting around somewhere in New York and that clock is only going to keep ticking. This is either just desperate or a bug. I'm hoping it's the latter.

AFKing for the second quarter in a row? Wow.

Perhaps this is a mistake.

In our movement for the Council, we were confronted with such that a person moved away from the computer, and his character remained in space, thereby creating an “activity”.

P.S.: I've ping HF ppl about it in Discord.
