Seriously, from the looks of it this game could destroy my marriage.

I've beaten it half a dozen times on xbox 360, it's an awesome game with decent replayability, especially if you go for all the achievement stuff.

Once you beat the game through with one character, you can re-use that same character when starting a new game - meaning you keep all the high level equipment and stats that you had when you finished the game before, making it far easier to play through on hardcore and insanity difficulty levels.

I would highly suggest playing through the first time with a soldier character. Get 150 kills with an assault rifle and you unlock the option to use assault rifles on other character classes like tech specialists or biotics... the assault rifle really helps out in a lot of the game, I've tried playing through using sniper rifles / shotguns and had very little success.

Is it just me, or do game makers not do trial versions anymore? The only thing they offer for download these days are wallpapers and fansite kits. Bastards.

I did ok with the shotgun, but always better with the assault rifles. Shotguns fired too slowly for some of the swarms of enemies you had to kill, and they were horrible for longer ranged fights where getting up close wasnt easy or even possible sometimes. The assault rifle is still semi-accurate at long range, and pretty effective at close range too.

The problem with the sniper rifle is that the majority of the game focuses on cramped, close-quarters combat. Sniper rifles arent meant for that kind of environment.

I can't wait for it to be released on PC. It sounds like a really cool game.
