@Auzari, coronado kept a secret towards GRN and i dont see how they can suddenly know about it. From last i know grn being in coronado was considered an oorp move by previous leadership of grn as it has been tried by an ONI player

Excuse me, how do you want to keep this system, as secret, when you have the Barrier Gate Station there? As I know, it is the one of the biggest freelancers base and the doors of this station are open for eveyone. With little credits attractions or with using of threats the Gauls could get this information from any trader, freelancer or pirate.

Well we have the wreck of freeport 4 a former liberty navy base so in theory any information about these systems could be recovered from hard drives aboard the wreckage of that station.

However the information in this case is sketchy hence the need for a recon mission into cortez and coronado.

You are right in that cortez and coronado is out of our (grn) zoi. But remember we are not going there to attack anyone instead just to make a survey of these systems. It would be nice if the CR could intercept us at Yuma and a fight ensue. If not we will leave with the data we collected but that would be really boring.

So jump in!?

Besides I have heard rumours that the GRN will get Cortez in their ZOI?

With grn bases in both manchester and magellan you cant expect cortez to remain GRN free for long. The next logical step would be to push north into cortez to cutoff Bretonia from Liberty.

This would be stupid without first getting more information on cortez and coronado.

I would like the recon vessel of yours to be a battlecruiser or above and CR allowed to bring a carrier with cloak disruptor to balance the event

But many freelancers like credits. They are cheap and untrustable, so if you are going to keep something, like "state secret" keep them away.

I doubt a base that was under LN colors more for gameplay reasons (to stop GRN from docking there) than anything else and was LN for a short time only had any valuable data on it to be honest.
It was an IMG base, I honestly doubt LN touched the data stored there if there was even anything real stored.
Going with "we salvaged it from a FP that was wrecked so hard with Werewolf's that there shouldn't be much more than spacedust remaining" is sort of awkward.

Just go with the rumors from Freelancers or whatnot.

Can i throw my two cents. How about before you plan an event give the factions an oorp nudge? See the best times and such and such. Cause is funny to see something on the boards that HC was not informed.
