Message to: All non corsairs in gamma
Ok, i have enough of this. In last weeks, everytime when i undock from Crete i have on scanner something red. and i dont mean outcast or bh attacking our home. I have enough of bounty hunter tagged fighters, or police or navy tagged freelancers or mercenaries that are surprised when someone open fire on them. I have enough of BH ships with mercenary ID, that are surprised why i am angry when they docked on crete or Tripoli.
So what will i say with this message. From now on, every hostile contact on my scanner, will be destroyed without any word. When you have enough time to buy BH ship, or enough time to gain navy/police/bh/outcast iff, you have enough time to change them before you enter corsair space and especialy corsair home system, and enough time to say something when you jump t omicron gamma. When you will join corsairs, try to come without tag, or not in bh ship.....
and remember, mercenaries are HOSTILE in omicron gamma!!!
The OPG will support you in this except for one matter. The mercenaries.
The following mercenaries are under the employ of the OPG.
Franziska.Storch
Anna.Navarre
Mule
Halberd.of.Death
Torak.Ormanus
Merc_Kollon
Obscured
PsychoticBaklava
[M]-Ace-[M]
I've found mercs are useful in that they can go where Corsairs can't, so I'm asking you leave these alone.

Quote:Server Rule 6.6 PvP combat is allowed only on roleplay basis. The pilot who is attacking must scan for an ID prior to the attack. Relying on general reputation status (red/neutral/green) without scanning for the ID is not allowed.
So now we have a player blatantly stating that he will disregard the server rules simply because he is annoyed?
A player's interpretation of his personal or faction roleplaying does not replace the requirements of the server rules.

I agree with Xoria. Two wrongs don't make a right and it'll get you into trouble. Report the ones who are PvP whoring...but don't stoop to their level. If you do, you're no better than the PvP whores.
I understand that there are occasionally situations where Mercenaries are useful and I think it is useful that you have now made it clear who they might be.
Under what terms do they operate?
Would it be reasonable to assume that any Mercenary that is on your list would become KOS for all Corsairs in the event that they were ever found to have taken a contract against a Corsair or their allies?
Do you hold a bond for their good behaviour? Perhaps 2 million credits (the approximate ish) value of their ships for fighters, more if a larger ships?
Jose
\\ OOC There is no reason why Mercenaries would/should not be employed by Corsairs or their allies, but any such Mercenary subsequently taking a contract against Corsairs would be viewed with considerable suspicion.

Makes me kind of glad to be a Order pilot today, but I must urge you to exercise patience. I understand your pain, we get a lot of Navy/Police tags asking "Ooh let me into Toledo, I want to be Order!"
Sometimes those pilots just make me want to cry. The most secretive faction is the most accessible, once you break past the Parasitic human raping Nomads, angry Navy players in Alaska and a few radiation storms that render you sterile. And a Order security patrol or two.
I wish I could just blast them into nothingness, they truly annoy me.
//FIX THE REP BY KILLING LOTS OF LIBERTY OR NOMADS OR EVEN BHG BEFORE COMING ANYWHERE NEAR TOLEDO!!
Just scan the ID before they come in, if I see lvl 41+ Civilians, I warn them, then I open fire, I do the same to hostile ID's too.
All in all, please be patient, try eating a prisoner or two, I hear they're tasty this time of year!

IFF's have a tendency to be unreliable, especially with the kind of scanner interference you get in the borderworlds.
I would suggest performing a detailed scan of the ships in question before opening fire. However, I'm with you here, we've had a lot of uninvited 'guests' in Order space lately, and honestly I'm a bit tired of wasting Order resources to hunt down smugglers using our systems as a shortcut around Sirius space.

//Basically, scan for an ID first, as many players trying to 'set up' their characters often start with a navy/police ID because of the default game rep (putting people on manhattan). They could be going to crete or tripoli to get a ship and Corsair bribe.
//globalo isn't saying he's going to outright kill anyone with a police ID, he's just saying he's going to step up restrictions to who may or may not be in Omicron Gamma.

RE : Jose Benitez
If any of these mercs cross us, I'll be the first to rip their testicles off and feed it to them.
I use 'em for places where Corsairs cannot, or should not go. At the moment the vast majority of them are deployed in NY, to help any smugglers carrying artifacts. It's a shame that we can't do anything in New York to help these smugglers, since they constitute the vast majority of our income, so I've decided to hire people who could 'help' the smugglers.
If any of them shoot at Corsairs, (unless in self defence), take some gun camera shots, kill them and send me the proof.
