Little is known about The Yūbokumin clan, even now only a few dragons are aware of its name, let alone their purpose or leadership all that's common knowledge is that they don't settle in Kusari space and live a very nomadic lifestyle, Dragons of the Yūbokumin sleep, live and die aboard their ships. It's rare to see a vessel clearly belonging to the Yūbokumin but even rarer to see one on its own as this clan typically travels as a whole The Majority of which live on a Kagutsuchi class cruiser called the "Taigun". Although the Taigun often requires food, oxygen and water supplies is fitted primarily to support life and serve as a surveying exploratory vessel. What it lacks in combat ability when compared to other cruisers of its class, it makes up for in logistical capacity and ability to house a small wing of snub fighters.
The Yūbokumin clan age is something of a question, although they are only appearing to surface now, seemingly independent dragons have appeared during times of crisis to only vanish after, for almost as long as the dragons have existed. Rumour or not many believe that these independent dragons were actually members of the elusive Yūbokumin clan, whom which only Shoguns have known by name.
No one really knows why they have surfaced today, or even why they have found themselves on the steps of Chugoku. All that is certain is that their existence is not appreciated by the Shogun.
