Same stuff all over again. Good model, lazy texture job, as always. I'd not expect that to get in-game in its current form, which is a shame because as I said the model is good.

The texture job is fine, and I'm saying this as the person who requested it. It's no worse than many of the models currently in the game. We shouldn't be looking for, and neither need, Star Citizen tier textures. And there are far worse aesthetics offenders that we turn blind eyes to. I don't get the criticism or bias against Unlucky_Soul. We've been waiting so long and aside from one other person, Unlucky_Soul is the only person who has created a complete model. Multiple times actually.

We need to stop denying fresh, new content based on petty grievances that the majority of people don't even notice.

The texturing doesn't look right.

It's a cheap attempt to discredit criticism by implying it's biased or something, I don't know US, I have nothing for or against him, I'm not commenting on his person, nor with any feelings towards him. He asked for feedback regarding his work and he got feedback regarding his work.

That I personally do not find inconsistent texture jobs and bad looking stretching high enough quality to get in the game is one thing, that you are ready to lower your standards in order to get your faction another cap is an other. What's more important is that neither of us is in charge to decide which ship gets into the mod and which doesn't. That however does not stop me to speak my mind if I want when feedback was asked for.

Perhaps I should have been clearer that my claims of bias weren't aimed at you but was more general.

I don't see how the texturing job is any worse than this:

What I said can apply to everyone unless you can specifically prove it's indeed personal bias is in play when judging the quality of a product, not the quality of the product itself.

To clarify, what I mean by the textures not looking right is that the colors seem more in line with the Bounty Hunter shipline, and seeing how Core has a darker theme, the lightness is awkward. A lot of the placements don't seem as careful as they could've been and it feels a little rushed.

It looks like a weird submission for a Liberty cap IMO.

p3d does display all textures as glowmaps. The actual freelancer texture files have individual value inputs for glowmaps, saturation, hue and brightness. The textures are fine, they will be shown way less bright ingame anyway. For example, look at the rendered picture of the Mako. It doesn't show the armor plating as dark as it is shown ingame.

I'll take some pictures of a working CMP once I get the files.

I must say i dont find the texture job right even if i count as a supporter of Unlucky_Soul generally. He does his models good but texturing needs more work

Could you all be a little more specific?
