She didn't rage quit Karlotta.
That is a rather selfish comment.

Try crap RP and "rules-lawyers" with a vindictive streak. She was trolled both in game and in forum to the point of being harassed. Fact.

There should also be a rule against colored replies in a thread. Some of you choose the stupidest colors to reply.

Rudimentary creatures of blood and flesh, you touch my mind, fumbling in ignorance, incapable of understanding.

Btw, guys, why it not obvious? If you dont want PoBs inside mining field - you need make some alternative, like mining ship with extra big volume. Make this very sloow BIG and weak to get die from one SNAC. Why need make server economy so weak? GIB US BIG TOYS FOR PVE.

Exactly, some of it is almost impossible to read. So I did not read it.

So where is that mining field that lacks POB? Charging BCP engines now.

Gawd, finally! Yes plz, move/delete any pob inside/close to mining field.

After all devs moved o-7 fields to even more distant of Kruger pob than it already was (other side of map now!) Smile

Being serious: pobs inside mining field are cancer, and should not be allowed. Even for mining faction is bad, let alone for other miners, pirates, law enforcement... all the chain of players attracted by the traders.

I know there are some positive aspects to it but I voted no because I believe house laws and inrp laws should take care of this. I would concede to limit the use of WP's near mining fields, but not bases in themselves. Just a base is no real threat, and not always a guaranteed refuge. Last I checked, if you are roleplaying an attack, you can still CD a base and trap a ship attempting to flee. Without WP's, that can actually make piracy easier. And without the platforms, being no real block to mining, I would say it could attract more activity still. Its when they cordon off an entire zone with weapons that the real toxicity begins. It can limit freedom of interaction to have common areas unexpectedly blocked off to all but a few.

As a pirate, if I was frequently pirating a mineable zone, and a base was built right in the middle, I may accept I couldn't stop every ship from making it there. (unless you're me and would cloak for any trip into a mining zone just in case, hit the base first, then go after the miners Wink) If it did become a problem, I'd RP message the base and extort it on large scale, under threat of harassing raids on the area at large. New bases need to be supplied plenty for the useful mods and upgrades. If you can't pirate the miners, you're sure to run into someone similar supplying for shipping ore out. I never saw the base's themselves as really shutting me down, just the killzones from WP's.

In IMG's case, if they set a clear policy that strange bases within the zone are 'dangerous' or a security risk, they should be able to claim inrp the right to take action. Perhaps that depends on who controls the space they're in, or not. Besides...what are Sagarmantha's really for?

Also, if Gallic laws don't cover Tau-23, IMG should be able to take the initiative there. Even against indie IMG's. Just like house space, once inrp laws are known, people will at least reach out to groups like IMG to request permission, so you could work with them before they even place them. Ironically though, there was a time years ago when miners setting up bases near the ore fields had to worry about Outcasts! If the IMG doesn't want have to dirty its hands removing independent bases, try cutting a back door deal with the Maltese!

What Inquest2 said. We have enough House laws already that cover this topic. Voted no.

Posts like this are unhelpful. In the future in threads like these, please try to contribute to the conversation if you're going to say anything : )

Please take your grievances with each other outside of the chat and preferably to Discord, or if you don't have anything nice and important to say, don't say it.
