Freelancer is an old game made for 800x600 resolution and crappy computers, so people who use crappy resolutions and computers are (probably) over-represented here, compared to the stats you linked.

I mean you are not blind and can see that even here most of the people have fullhd montiors/laptops, not even 1336x768. Like 1336x768 is usually coming on low/middle tier laptops and budget monitors.

As for forum layout, I tend to trust widths up to 600px~ to be generally safe, though text layout is complicated to scale well - access the forums via mobile for maximum carnage.

I've been fiddling with the idea of positioning images via float left and right for start/end of posts, respectively, and trusting myBB encoding to format text properly... but yeah, after looking at my posts on other computers this kind of info was something I started to wonder as well.

Why are you using such loud words for people discussing the montion resolution? If you just wanted to have a poll, there's inbuilt mybb forum option for it. I assume that therad is opened to discuss the certain subject.
