Patrols from the California gate had detected an approaching 'Storta'-class Destroyer inbound to West Point. Unpon final clearance, the vessel, an 'MNS-"Dead_Hand"' cut the lane, turning and breaking off. We gave chase, soon accompanied by Commodore Shepard. Upon breaking out of the Detroit field, the destroyer cut engines and turned towards us, giving a head on attack before proceeding to flee. The Canberra took some hits, and eventually the order was given for the Helena to respond. Upon arrival, the destroyer's fate was sealed, and with the fire of both ships, the Dead Hand soon went up in flames. Capture evidence of the ship's being put out of action was taken by the Helena. We then returned to port at West Point Academy, patching up what damage we'd taken.
That is all.

I was just catching up on my paper work in front of Manhattan and a Junker came from the direction of Rochester and was carrying forbidden Technology, a "Scorpion" Partical Cannon. After informing him he broke the law I gave him two options, Drop the weapon or be fined. He later handed the weapon over and I will ensure its destruction. This criminal was holding our own hostage and tried to play the stupid game with me. I took this bastard down and freed our men and women. Proof below for documentation and review of my actions.

To all officers,
Be ready, kids. This is gonna be big..
As of this transmission, high command has authorized the promotion of
CDRE Allen Blaine Bradley
to the rank of Rear Admiral. The Admiralty has kept their eye on you, and through the recent skirmishes in both the close and far fronts, have deemed you worthy of finally clasping that extra star. Come on by and pick it up when you can.
CDRE Daisuki Aramaki
to the rank of Rear Admiral. Your service to the Fleet, as well as your training of those below you, has not gone unnoticed by the Admiralty. With the war escalating, the board has decided that it's time the Command grew. As such, you're to be given recognition for this.
CAPT Alice Shepard
to the rank of Rear Admiral. Patience and humility keep one at their rank, but initiative and fervor raise it. You've shown no shortage of either, and it's only fitting that you're recognized for it. Keep up the stellar work.
CMDR Miles Prower
to the rank of Captain. Your time in the secondary is long since done, Prower. No more dealing with the fidgety lines of succession, and thus no more waiting for your work to pay off. Welcome to the high end of the mid-command. Enjoy the perks of your silver leaf.
CMDR Jasmine Tapp
to the rank of Captain. Ever since you fell off the grid, command was sketchy about giving you the rank addition. However, you've preformed your job admirably, and as such they've granted it to you. Stop on by the Quartermaster's office and pick up your new pin whenever you can. You've earned it.
CMDR Alara Beckett
to the rank of Captain. Taking the fight to the enemy is a long, drawn out process. You've show not only interest in keeping up the fight, but also mentoring those below you in the art of falling in line and doing what's right. I see no better candidate for yet another silver leaf to go out to. Keep doing the Admiralty, and Liberty, proud.
LCDR Nicole Prower
to the rank of Captain. This one has been very long overdue. Command has kept their eye on you, even before officially transferring, and I must say that you're more than deserving of it. Work with the Fifth Fleet may not have gotten you here, but we recognize our people's talents and accomplishments. Keep up the superb work.
LT Sebastian Weber
to the rank of Lieutenant Commander. You're fresh off the boat, but not so fresh that you still have that new cadet smell, and while the Admiralty didn't authorize this, the Captains did. Welcome to the slightly bigger leagues.
That is all for promotions this week. In addition to these superb individuals, we have a few transfer notices for warship command and executive command.
VADM Michelle Collins
is hereby assigned as CO of upcoming Battlegroup Lexington.
RADM Alice Shepard
is hereby assigned as CO of Battlegroup Washington.
RADM Daisuki Aramaki
is hereby assigned as XO of upcoming Battlegroup Lexington.
CDRE Aaron Bixly
is hereby assigned as XO of Battlegroup Enterprise.
CAPT Alara Beckett
is hereby assigned as CO of Battlegroup Montana.
This concludes this week's mass promotion and reassignment letter. To every promotee, you have my congratulations, and I urge all who have been raised in rank to stop by the Quartermaster's office for your new pin, possible ribbons and a celebratory handshake. I can't give you all beer, since I'll be on duty.
Good luck to all of you.
