The outcast and corsair playerbases are dead.

It sucks cus that was the mother of all unlawful conflicts, i miss the old alpha/gamma raids.

The LWB was removed for having a dead end story arc and being a redundant leftist revolutionary faction in a house which, including them, had three. I know that's not what this thread is about, but I feel the need to constantly remind people due to absurdist hyperbolic fear mongering that it's extraordinarily unusual that a faction will ever be removed, certainly not one as important to the lore as the Outcasts or Corsairs.

To be honest, LWB pretty much could integrate into Unioners, as they would have similiar goals and background of being cheated by the government. Part of LWB possibly went into Bundschuh ranks as more 'peaceful' lobbyists.

I think the NAPs (official and unofficial/oorp) that the Corsair and Outcasts factions have made with other factions are also what's killed them. They've shut themselves off from potential targets and things to shoot. Outcasts are in really good proximity for consistent raids against Order which could really boost the activity of both factions, yet they currently have a NAP. I can't help but feel that the system design choices that lead to both those regions of space being more connected were not done with a NAP in mind.

I think it'd do both factions some good if they start including some variety in their raid options or visit places they don't usually go to, and try to build up their activity from that. Furthermore, more activity in the Taus and Omegas would hopefully encourage more Outcasts and Corsairs respectively, as those regions are dead af.

Long story short to the OP: I've been busy with RL stuff otherwise I'd be organizing some stuff with my fellow Outcast bros.

And Lyth: yes, we get it. You hate the order and want everyone to shoot them. Can ya stop being so blatant about it?

But is there an actual reason as to why OC would not shoot Order on sight?

Not really. Citing a single example here, gameplay-wise Core works/worked because it doesn't make permanent NAPs, so both it and hostile factions consistently have something to shoot. I don't feel that permanent - inrp or oorp - NAPs are good for gameplay unless they're done for the sake of improving gameplay (stopping ganks or w/e).

I mean just look at the infocard of the Battleship Amenta in Omicron Beta. Does it really sound like it supports the notion of an Order-Outcast NAP?

[+]Spoiler
Quote:ARMAMENT: CLASSIFIEDThe Battleship Amenta is an experimental vessel, constructed in the berths of Evora Shipyard in the twilight months of 822 A.S.. It was designed to be a deep strike operations warship, equipped with a prototype hull plating and intended to be almost entirely self-sufficient, thus able to go for months without even routine maintenance from a shipyard. Even with the radioactive shroud of the system, the Amenta lurks in the outer reaches Omicron Beta without fear of being eroded by any dangerous particles.

Here, it monitors Outcast fleet movements and trade routes from a "safe" distance, while also servicing patrols and raids from its hangar. Although the Order tries to keep its presence hidden, the Amenta is constantly prepared to be on the move.

Some laughable diplomacy I guess.
