Our experience with the Natio in and out of RP has been nothing short of stellar. Their RP is impeccable and they're overall pretty cool people to hang around ooRP. Again, best of luck with Officialdom!

I just want to say that you have the most conservative ID request I've ever seen in my life, and you should buff it, damn it. : D

I agree with this, and we'll be discussing it internally. We only have a few things we consider contraband, so the biggest drawback of this would be that it may be slow to update if diplomacy warrants a new contraband item, or if a new commodity appears that we would consider contraband. To me, that seems pretty minor considering the additional clarity this would provide.

We have yet to perfect our staff mind control abilities. Though it seems we're getting good at summoning them!

As for why our ID is so passive, NO is, in-RP, thirty thousand people, and while we've had a few small fleets in the past under the banner of the Vagrant Raiders, the original one was a roaming fleet used as a home base for homeless pirates. Since now we have roots put down in Tau-44, our approach going forward is "nothing bigger and no more than would logically be possible to support". We didn't ask for cruisers or battleships on our ID because we haven't the infrastructure to construct and support them either in lore or in game. Our ZoI is no more than we could logically operate in. We have no NPC presence in-game at this point, and I don't foresee us having one anytime in the near future. We don't have our own tech, either.

In short, there's not many additional rights or powers we could add that would feel appropriate to the RP and purpose of the Natio. At most maybe we would consider adding a few specifically named capital ships that we intend to construct over the course of the next six to eight months, but to be honest, I'm not opposed to simply SRPing them based on the RP of their construction instead.

I've gotten three factions official before, and can testify that the admins will let you personalise your ID further away from the freelancer ID than that. You will have a highly conservative tech access, which gives you some opportunity to boundary push.


I would consider giving yourself a quick bump to cargo, to 4,800 units. It's an oft-neglected cargo capacity limit, that would let you use the woefully under-utilized 'Titanic' bulk transport - a transport that often gets overlooked by other groups in the favour of 5k transports, yet also fits the civilian/dangerous space niche as it's meant to be quite hardy and modular. There's a whole range of ships in that bracket that nobody really uses due to 5ks, battle transports, or light transports being the received go-to choices. That would round the ID out quite nicely, and give you a bit more wiggle-room logistically if you want to do convoys at any point in the future.

Uh, 4300 is already pushing the limits of FL IDed based quasi-lawful faction and 4800 would be over the top as it is. If people want to trade, they should use corporate IDed ships.
