I like the models but I'm not 100% sure how well they'll fit with the generally dieselpunk-in-space style of Freelancer. The aesthetic of the universe is more "you can smell the lubricating oil through your screen" than clean modern sci-fi.

Having some more clearly kinetic weapon models is a good thing that we definitely need, though. Most of our heavy weapons operate on magic energy handwavium; it'd be awesome to have some that augment the destructive power of things like antimatter and barely-contained fusion plasmas with a big kinetic shove out the door.

How are these intended to rotate? I don't understand how these are going to work without some very ugly clipping.

easy, you can reduce gun barrel angles

No, literally, how does the barrel rotate? What I'm looking at is a piece of geometry that can't move, not one with a limited arc.

combine barrels with turret base and give max 15 degree and min -10 degree to prevent clipping with ship hull

Then you're going to have a gun you can barely aim in comparison with the present mortars, vastly changing balance.

if guns had force ori yes but without force ori you automatically get 45 degree buff to any weapon doesnt matter if it has 1 degree arc

Now you have a projectile coming out of a railgun at a 45 degree angle. That'd look weird as hell.

I could see these working as force ori railgun-equivalents to Mortars. Trade off ease of aim for, say, increased range and/or speed.

This logic makes no sense whatsoever. You're still losing angles that the barrel would otherwise be able to face that would grant you the aforementioned extra 45 degrees. It's an enormous nerf.
