It genuinely looked like more of our Torps were hitting in that round than before. How could I tell? Wesker wasn't complaining every minute that his Novas weren't tracking anymore

BAF did next to nothing to increase their chances of winning the event. No CDing the novas, no using pulse loadouts to drain the core of bombers. I don't know what tactic you changed in the last wave, but it doesn't come even close to the fact that half the time Novas didn't track which is basically half the DPS lost. The 2nd most efficient weapon after the Nova was the Scorcher and Scorchers weren't providing enough damage as we saw in the 2nd wave, so we were forced to use Novas. It's crazy to see that someone who did nothing will get rewarded for it and I'm disappointed in the random 4th cruiser being brought in to force a tie. No one even considered how much the server lag hindered this event, let alone the fact that if BAF did any of the 2 tactics above GRN would have no chance.
Why are we rewarding incompetence? I might as well stop trying to balance every single event and play for my enjoyment while encouraging others to do the same, so future events could look like 40 vs 5 against Gallia. I too would like to log Bretonia sometimes but it's impossible if we want to allow people to have a somewhat balanced event in the first place. Everyone's looking only for their own benefit and how it fits them rather than trying to make it enjoyable for everyone else, why am I and a small minority of others even bothering then? You'll see that happening somewhere in the future where devs will have to literally beg players to join the Gallic side. That goes double for this event where those that did join didn't get rewarded for doing a thankless and tedious job such as shooting NPCs for over 3 hours. Sad but true.
Kudos for the organizing and the concept, keep it up. I hope the torpedo bug can be fixed somehow because it hindered the potential of this event a lot.
Edit: Also very happy to see the server full again, we're gonna have to increase the max amount of slots in the future.

We -madly- targeted novas. We had serious bugs which made that practically impossible. What you're ascribing to incompetence was very clearly bugs. We kept constantly targeting novas and they didn't track the torpedoes.

If you did it, you only did it in the 3rd wave, and you only did it on half the torpedoes because the other half didn't track at all. As I've said, it doesn't come even close to the fact that so many novas didn't track or stood still before exploding in the spot.

The wave where we all together did the most nova-targeting was the wave we lost the most ships. It's in the DSAce.

To avoid scorcher camping, we'd let torps in whenever somebody was loitering right next to the ship so they evaporated. We also had a team of fighters deshielding particularly annoying bombers.
That's absolutely goddamned brilliant.
I really hope we see that kind of tactics development in the next event.

Yeah, I was absolutely blown away by how ingenious everyone was. And how hard everyone -tried-, on both sides, and how compliant each massive team was to working together, instead of arguing.
