I even like this kind of event. But one thing is certain: even if you redo the event, nothing changes in development. I already foresee great surprises to come in our ingame community. And we're going to be delighted. I expect.

Seems to me that if you have a rule that says no NEMPs and it's broken, you re-do the event because it's not fair nor legal.

That'd be my 2 cents.

I agree out of principle that’s the only logical reason. I didn’t participate but if the logic is the outcome wouldn’t have changed then the Gallic players shouldn’t have any issue redoing it if they are certain they would win again. I’m confident the Council side would redo if they had won and the circumstances had been reversed.

AFAIK he left the NEMP cloud because it was unplayable there. Some of us had rocking 0-5 FPS since the NEMP making this event one of the worst experience i have had here.
As for the rerun, I vote yes. Such event deserves better that this.

The event has to be rerun for the fairness sake, even if it does not change the outcome, rules were broken, someone fired a NEMP while nemps were disabled.

Like the cruiser Engine Failure thing, Novas not working and CDs not working during the New London Event. All that kinda stuff right? we didnt get a restart

That event was solvable, ALSO! Devs gifted to gallics the draw on a silver plate because of this! That event, at last, had a restart.

which is fine, but dont go arguing about an "unfair advantage" when there was one in the New London Event that those who were on the Gallic Side were told to just "suck it up"

There aren't unfair advantage, just dumb tactics. Repeating for the infiniteth time, if a leader Leaves the battlezone (that it had to be Planet Marseille), this is a retreat so the Gallia has lost even before the event starting.

I am unsure as to the relevance of this poll. Both sides involved in the event are going to push for what benefits their faction the most.
Was it a perfectly smooth, 100% balanced event ? No, of course not. As with just about any event.
The only thing that really changes here is RP ownership of a system not a single one of you even cared for until this event. And getting down to it, a royalist victory means said system becomes lawless and thus presents an interesting opportunity for RP. Which is the reason we're all here.

There's a French phrase I like very much, that translates as "to drown in a glass of water".
Don't do that. The event was good fun, I liked it better than the LSC ambush ; now if we could simply roll with it and what consequences it will have (ie : very little for 95% of you), that'd be great.

Kudos and thanks to the team for organising this. Sometimes I wonder how you muster the will to spend time and effort knowing that it can devolve into this sort of... I hesitate to even call it an argument.

PS I naturally voted no, for Unione Corse reasons.

Does this poll even matter if people who didn't attend can vote?

I say this as one of those people.

@Antonio and @Lucas and whoever thinks the result was one sided already. If it was so decisive and certain, why are you afraid of a second run, may i ask? As i and others repeat in the other, and this thread, we ask for the rerun for the following reasons in case of you cannot comprehend during the highness of your victory:

- The hacker fired several NEMPS at the place and wiped us out in the first clash and Arles chickened out from the initial area.
- Arles practically fought as dirty as possible. Hiding behind planet, EKing all the time, bug abusing, you name it.
- The distance Arles resided was way further than you think. We had to cruise around 40k, give or take 2-3k, however it was clearly not "at marseille"

If you think it was extremely fair and "we should suck it up" i invite you to Show the battle from your side to us.
