Thunderer is sure good, but he's not the one who can not be kept up with, even in such a ship. Aquitaine kept up to him for a few minutes, doing plenty of damage and, at some point - even managed to get behind him, which is essentially Valor's only weak spot.
Unfortunately, it was too late and haven't really decided anything.

To be honest, i can not really blame him. We all know that a hacker intrusion is what happened, and if my game performance would've dropped beyond acceptable levels - i would've had the same idea - do get as far as possible from the supposed disturbance source.
And i certainly would stick to that idea unless it returns back to those acceptable levels.
He might've crossed the line with his behavior later as he flew off all the way to the edge of the map is, well... questionable, but Oblique's behavior wasn't exactly logical as well, facetanking all the Valors certainly wasn't the smartest move.

Let's be real. The person who flew the RNS-Arles used the EK bug in its advantage. It was impossible to outturn that ship, even I saw the forward gun hitting me while I was on his left side. I don't think there was a need to use that EK bug due to the ship power. Every little here people get punished. Be careful when it comes choosing who flies a ship and make sure he knows rules. The person said there was too much of bumping. That guy wasn't the only one who got bumped a lot but he was the only one who used the EK bug in its advantage, flying 1-2k away.

Wasnt there, so I didnt vote officially. But I have a different idea(yes I read every other post first).

Make 2 more events to follow this one. From what I gathered 1 major ship was destroyed, and the other was heavily damaged(like 20-30%?). That means 1 side(Gallia?) has tentative control of the system, but it is weakly defended until that ship is repaired. Overall though, the event was screwed up by a definate hacker, and possibly questionable piloting on both capital ships(idk just going by the rantings I read).

This could also bring in another thread from earlier concerning trade goods btw.

Event 1:
Its gonna take a ton of material to refit that ship so it can properly defend a system right? Maybe a huge convoy that needs escorted. Maybe organize an escort/transport event for 1 side. And an ambush/blockcade for the other. Make a certain % of the cargo in the convoys arriving at its destination within a certain amount of time be the overall victory/defeat condition. Success of convoys leads to event 2. Failure leaves system with technical control in Gallic(I belive) hands, but actual area in system under control is limited to direct path from ship to nearest friendly jumpgate. The amount, variety, and volitility of the items needed to refit this ship would make for a need of both combat pilots and transport pilots, not common in events that I see.

Between events, Gallic npc patrols in the system should be thick as flies to show their attempt to secure the system until the capital ship is repaired.

Event 2:
Siege of the remaining capital ship to prevent its reconstruction IF event 1 resulted in enough material being brought into the system(and thus securing it for ??). Destruction of ship in a certain amount of time results in lawless system. Defense of ship results in complete takover of system.

Idk I just like the idea of rolling with the bad hand dealt to everyone during the event. This way more cool action/events can come of it too.

EDIT 1:
Maybe even hold a third event preceeding the others to allow both sides to try and contract freelancers(and thus get ships unavailable directly from the military) on their side in RP on the forums leading up to events 1&2.

EDIT 2:
Possibly limit the types of ships able to participate on each side due to the ongoing war effort in other systems(see preceeding edit).

No. Retconning stuff that had been a fact for some time ruins the players' roleplay and shows little respect for the storyline continuity.

Talking about retcons is a little rich coming from you.

When Gallia/Corsairs lost HALF the dps because Nova torpedoes were sitting in spot or not tracking at all, drastically changing the outcome, they were told to "suck it up".
When Gallia/Corsairs lost at least 6-7 players after the first wave because of the NPCs lagging out and the server crash, which resulted in them losing a lot of dps through a 3-hour event overall, they were told to "suck it up".
When the 10th cruiser was conjured out of thin air to force a draw, Gallia/Corsairs were told to "suck it up".
There was no mention or offer of a remake, and Gallia almost fully lost the event rather than what was latter announced as a draw.

Now anti-Gallic forces have similar obstacles that aren't even close in magnitude compared to the ones in NL, and suddenly the other side wants preferential treatment. It's nothing but hypocrisy.

You must be confusing me with someone else.

I have three lynxes and Gallia is my favourite house. I keep speculating on the idea of creating a Gallic internal faction but keep getting held up due to other commitments. The Gallic lore are the best in the game and the Gallic systems are the most beautiful, even if they have some lane-length issues.

I've even advocated for Gallic systems not to be cut in the past.


Hell, I wrote out a huge lore document for the First Gallic Civil War.


Edit: I get that it's tempting and I do it too occasionally, but we really all should try to not use "no u" or "that's rich coming from u" when someone makes a point we don't agree with.
