Where's the redo of the New London event? Or are we catering to people like @Shooter now? If the team is going to pick and choose when precedent applies them I'm very concerned.

New London wasn't sabotaged by a hacker and Shooter is not playing any more.

PS: Nor does the Shooter whose profile you linked, as their last forum visit date was in 2012 Big Grin

To the former, it was still an event with complications that might have turned out differently had such things not occurred and circumstances been made fair. There's been discussion about this before and at length, but the point I'm making is that if the team wants to redo this event, they should stand by their policy and redo the other.

To the latter, good.

Unlike the Council event, we found a happy compromise for the New London event, both win criteria were doable without preventing the other from being completed, so we had both criteria hit and people were happy (mostly).

The Council event, while I'm sure with a bit of fiddling you could try make up a draw condition, it would cause the event it be mostly meaningless (i.e both ships survived, back to square one), so we must re-do the event to put the thing to rest. I'm sure people will be upset if Council wins the re-do because "GRN won the first time!" as it is being argued by some. GRN winning will I am sure settle the dispute, but the fact that a Council win is going to make people upset is frankly disappointing in terms of the attitude. It happens sometimes in sport, you have to take it and move on.

GRN was not happy about that event lol, we just kept going because it didn't seem like we were going to get a re-run. Unlike this one which just seems like pandering. I agree with what Reeves said, there should be consistency.

Issue with Number Balance is that its an event that impacts the actual story. So its hard to have fun when your out numbered knowing that your loss will change the story.
