One of my characters has been trying to build a Rep with IMG paid like 2.2 mill in credits at different facilities and as soon as I un dock from the Depot or planet I bought the bribe from it returns to Red. From a near full green light red. What's up with that is there some other item I'm missing or Rep which stop it from going back to red.
What I'm trying to get access to a couple of GMG Depots but with no sucess. Any heads up will be much appreciated. Thanks
The independent miner ID has various "rephacks" with mining factions denying it docking access on their bases, the reason being that independent miners are typically viewed as thieves by these factions and therefore unwelcome in their mining fields.
A rephack is a locked threshold which your reputation with a faction cannot pass - you can take bribes but on undocking your reputation will be reset to this barrier.
GMG is one of these factions the Miner ID is rephacked with, it is locked to being unable to dock with its bases and it will be the same with IMG. You can mine all ores with the Miner ID, but as a tradeoff you will get a smaller mining bonus than specialised factions and will be generally unable to dock on their bases.
Thanks all for the heads up, have just discovered a new ship to use while mining which gives good tonnage. Will stop paying hacks for something that will never happen.
