incompatible ship capability issue (newbie)

HI!

I have recently purchased a Starflier and I also got a new shield for it. When I exited the station, I got a notification saying that the ship technology seems incompatible and the capability of the ship will be reduced to 10%. I don't really get why is that the case. I can hardly refire my weapons because the regeneration rate is really slow. what is this about?

You sure it's not to do with your ID or guns?
I don't see how a shield would effect power core but that could just be my inexperience with shields.

Maybe. It could be the NPC ID. I have an interspace commerce ID. The guns are standard flashpoint guns and vengeance MK

Well, I sorted it out. it has to do with the ID. One has to get a ship that is compatible with the ID
