You weren't too happy with the appearance of the hardware that Aleksander Krinkov was able to dig out on short notice, not that it hasn't been effective in its intended role. I'd ought to have figured as such, seeing as you've pulled quite the one-eighty away from practicality to a sort of Gallic level of pompousness.
If you want better transporters than export grade, though, you and I are going to have to do some research of our own into military grade House cargo haulers and passenger heighliners. I hear VI's been using some better-than-baseline equipment, but they've been unusually stingy with their capital as of late, and besides, supertransports are just as expensive as capital ships to maintain. Seeing as we have all the Typhoons, it's a material expense we can't just take on. Hence, this project, and the reactivation of RENEGADE.

A rusted shell ferrying forth the Coalition's banner and her people paints an ill picture of the cause underneath all that festering metal. The Sector must look to us for martial elegance. To make artwork of violence is no small feat, and I have no intention of commissioning a liner that cannot fend for itself beside glittering in a manner that might be construed as offensive.
Consider this to be an exacting demand. But the project must conclude with the successful production of a vessel that not only exemplifies our superiority in visuals, but can roar down upon the enemy with all the ruthlessness that is characteristic of the Coalition. I have made my own exodus from Ames as of now, and am winding down at Mull-Tayport. Rendezvous with me there -- and on the way, conduct a penetration scan of the liner Shetland. It should be the last bit of data we actually need on the Enterprise class. We'll need to conduct a full data dump once we get back to New Moscow.
