Background

With the war against Gallia over, the Liberty Navy has been constantly pulling out it's assets from Bretonian space back to Liberty. One of the many convoy of ships is a medical convoy heading towards planet Manhattan, the transport ships packed full with the injured heading home. Recently the Hellfire Legion was able to intercept and later decrypt a transmission that made the convoy a tempting target. According to the intelligence reports, several high ranking officers inhabit one of the transports. If the legion can capture them, they could use their knowledge to launch additional attacks on the Navy and hit them where it hurts.

The event will play out largely as indicated on the map provided below. The SAR convoy will start out at Planet Los Angeles and will move towards the New York jump gate. The Legion forces will start out from Hesperia and ambush the convoy at the designated location where the battle will commence and, depending on which side wins, different events will follow this one.

Rules

In order to clear up possible problems before they become problems here are some extra rules for the event.

1. The transports is not to take part in the combat itself.
2. No destroying the transport by any sides.
3. The transport cannot make a run for it towards New York or Hesperia. If it does the event is automatically won by the opposing side.
4. Depending on which side wins the engagement the transport will either continue to New York or follow the legion ships.
5. Rules of common sense applies, so no troll loadouts.

Liberty Navy Victory

The transport ship is safely escorted to Planet Manhattan. The Hellfire Legion has to plan it's future attacks without the intel.

Hellfire Legion Victory

The legion is able to overwhelm the navy escorts and board the transport carrying the officers and commandeers the transport to safety before navy support arrives. With the knowledge of the officers the legion is able to plan it's next attack more carefully.

You can ask the same about the LPI, it is actually a good question, I'd like to know that as well, I think allowing 1-2 LSF/LPI to fill 2-3 snub slots wouldn't cause problems, alternatively, the number of participants could be increased if enough people show interest I think, provided that both sides attract others' attention, so it won't become too 1-sided.

Edit: This obviously is just a suggestion.
