Rheinland Local news: War hero Wolfgang Heinrich dies at age 102

This morning at one of the several national cemeteries on Planet New Berlin, dozens from nearby Veterans homes gather to honor the passing of a renowned comrade. Wolfgang Hans Heinrich was announced dead Tuesday morning at 05:16. There are no reported or suspected external factors that played a part in his passing, indicating he passed peacefully and of natural causes. Wolfgang is known to many nearby for his actions in 746 A.S where he saved the lives of two dozen supply liners from a Unioner attack in Hamburg. Seemingly overwhelmed, he prevailed against an entire strike force of Unioner craft ensuring the safety of every passenger onboard the said transports. He was awarded various medals and a promotion for his service that day, and has a been noted for two other lesser - but still similar - feats that occurred during his time in service.

"He is a part of the Heinrich family tree that to this day has been left neglected for heroic actions in service." The nurses told us as we entered the home for interviews. "Each person who carried the name, going further and father than the last in amazing feats of service." So they have said. Wolfgang held the respect of everyone residing in the veteran's home nearby where he stayed. The nurses claimed that he "held together" many celebrations and family gatherings while present, and though he had no immediate family members with him, he was still a force of optimism.

Sadly however, it is believed that he is the last in his family line. His son, Liam Heinrich, disappeared without a trace over forty years ago trying to uphold the same bravery his father showed that day. Escorting transports through the once rich Omega-11 system, he and his convoy were ambushed by Hessian pirates - to which he fell victim in an effort to save his comrades.
