OVERVIEW


With political violence exploding across Rhienland's planets, both Imperial and Federal forces have turned their attention to Planet Stuttgart. As Rhienland's breadbasket, Stuttgart is a critical strategic objective and was a highly desirable posting for many senior federal civil servants and officers. This was in part due to its pleasant climate and also the expectation of generous corporate kickbacks. Federal intelligence operatives have determined that it is of vital importance to evacuate as many loyalist officials as possible in order to facilitate the creation of a robust federal government in Thuringia.

In order to achieve this, emergency bunkers on Planet Weimar in the Thuringia System have been unsealed. Caches of Federal Riot Suppression Materiel are being made available for shipment to Planet Stuttgart in order to try and buy as much time as possible for evacuation efforts, and fend off Imperial militias. Federal Evacuees are to be returned to Planet Weimar for resettlement, and briefing on the formation of the Federal Government.

At the behest of the Imperial provisional authorities, Daumann has also turned its ailing factories on Planet Nuremberg to the production of Imperial Ground CombatMateriel. Enterprising and patriotic captains are being asked to ship these supplies to the militias fighting for control of Planet Stuttgart. Daumann has also agreed to intern captured Imperial Detainees on the increasingly remote Planet Nuremberg, pending the establishment of an Imperial judicial system capable of prosecuting their cases.

Reports have been received of both sides indiscriminately firing on civilian vessels attempting to supply the other's efforts on Stuttgart.

NOTES


There is no ID lock on shipping event commodities to the appropriate station. Normal restrictions on trading in House space apply. Stuttgart has a RFP IFF, so Rhienland corporate vessels or otherwise neutral entities will be required to participate. Transports hauling event commodities will be flagged as combat targets for the opposing factions listed above / eligible to participate in the "Die Walküre" combat event.

Staff will be awarding scores to the Federal and Imperial sides based on the quantity of deliveries:
  • Federals: 1 point is scored for each unit of Federal Riot Suppression Gear or Federal Evacuees that is successfully delivered to its destination.

  • Imperials: 1 point is scored for each unit of Imperial Ground Combat Materiel or Imperial Detainees that is successfully delivered to its destination.

Explanation on Combat Targets: Transports carrying event cargoes become combat targets to the listed factions. This means they may be shot without a demand by any ship type that is allowed to attack transports. This does not bypass rule 4.7 regarding capital ships and the circumstances under which they may attack transports.

Outcome

A news article describing the ramifications of the event will be added to the game. This way this is written will vary depending on the outcome, and is intended to explore the lore of the uprising.

I make over 100mil in 1h.

Around 500-ish ¢/sec
You're pretty much guaranteed to be stopped often.
RFP is on the imp side and has tlagsnet so you'd have to use jump holes making that ¢/sec crash.

Imps can also escort/do it themselves. Feds cannot effectively.

This feels a bit weird.

Which is fine but if you want this to be THE hotspot then it needs to be higher. Otherwise people will do a few runs to see if it's fun and then go elsewhere.

Hey - I just wondered, could Liberty get Federal Evacuees/Refugees sell-point on Houston? Liberty Navy in Hudson is currently doing job of protecting refugees so it would be reasonable to add that - and also would make a bit activity in Hudson/Texas system while we defend the convoys.
