Requesting support from Discovery Community

Greetings,

I have been playing on the Discovery role-play server for quite some time. Before this server I played on a pvp server where I runned my own blood dragons clan. Now we disbanned but a few old members and me came up with the idea to start it here. Now I already saw a blood dragon guard faction in the faction list, but I'm more wondering what you all would advice me to do, how to name the faction and all that would be wise to do.

I really enjoyed the pvp server and I think that if we can turn my old pvp clan with your help and advice into a great fun blood dragon faction.

So some of the questions going through me right now,

What kind of name / tag should it have, a simple [BD] (blood dragons) name / tag or would something else fit alot better?

Is there a required role play story? Or is it possible to be just as the NPC faction without anything special.

I hope that you can help me getting started so this unnamed faction can slide smoothly into the discovery role play community.

On that pvp server we all had a japanese name, aswell with some japanese words as konnichiwa (good afternoon) Sayonara (good day) I lost the list but we can recover the words if it's needed. We kept it basic so the people would still get the point what we were telling.

There we used to disrupt the trade lanes to catch some fish. We did not always demanded cash sometimes our max loot (one fighter had about 80 cargo space) did fine aswell. We never camped a spot, longest time we've stayed at a place must have been 10 minutes or so.

Beside the taxation, cargo demandings we also organized raids. We raided small bases for a short period (about 15 minutes or so) were all hostile npc's had to be exterminated, and all player traders would have demanded cargo or money, player fighters mostly got attacked by warning ''Get ready for extermination''

Of course that was another server, as this is a role play we would have even bigger role play. And thats a part where I would like some advice indeed. A story, or how to improve our role play as a blood dragon even more. I even made up a rule in the clan that blood dragons could only dock on friendly bases (BD base, GC base ect.)

I often feel the dragons attracts too much japanese fanatic kids (especially nowaday with all the <strike>brainwashing</strike> mangas and anime and Wii, playstation, and whatever... we see Japan Japan Japan Ninja Samurai and Mitsubishi just about everyday...

Please, before making that faction, I'd want to see if you people have any roleplay capacities at all. I have been on other servers where "blood dragons" was merely used because it was 1. japanese 2. cool sounding name 3. has cool ships (I actually find they looks like bat-winged shoes, but whatever...)... just for the sake of keeping some sanity in kusari factions.

And saying from time to time "konishowa", and whatever else japanese word you learned from your anime immersions, does not really count as roleplay for me... I'd like to see intriguating story line. As such, I suggest for you to be the mainstream blood dragon faction, instead of the actual Blood Dragon guard.

My personal suggestion would be for you to join the existing BD faction
or HG, and get alongside the players already here. that way you dont have
the responsibilty of running a faction (higher demands, larger target ingame and out)
and can simply enjoy doing the groundwork of being a BloodDragon.

I'm not intrested in joining a existing BD faction though, I think I like doing all that paper work along with some in-game action more then just the in-game action. But hey it's an idea =)

Well I liked the Blood Dragons for their style, they have a great honor feeling along with them. When I started to like the blood dragons there wasn't a wii yet, and I don't watch japanese shows either. So I'm not making a choice because I like the japanese part of it, but because I like the style they work. Of course I like the ships aswell but hey it's always good if you like the ships your fav. faction has right?
