are you talking about ship renders or the 'characters'?

Characters I find on google image search :P

Ships you can render easily in open singleplayer. Just turn your 'space background detail' in the options down to zero, and it replaces the background with solid black. Take a screenshot, then use photoshop or another image editing program to make the black portion transparent, leaving the ship in the image.

Speaking of which, I've updated my signature to include my two ships:

Well got bored again and had another go also changed the Gunship to a Destroyer I'm kinda liking this one so I may actually use it once I have the character RP completely sorted out (work in progress). Also might change what I did with the fuzzy border a little.

Ok tried a couple of changes including waving the flag a slight bit not going to say it's finished but it is an improvement I think. Still need to think of how to do the border right and might change the text a bit.

Also, can someone tell me how to make the Black thing transparent? I've spent hours at a time zoomed in around a picture with an Eraser tool trying to erase the background...:wacko::unsure:

Use the magic wand on the black. Then hit delete, and do touch ups with the eraser.
