Xi is getting reworked we've just put that jump hole there as an interim solution. Not so sure about Eta, we are looking at merging Chi and Beta and perhaps Cheta can serve as a replacement Eta. So Alpha-Cheta-Xi-Gamma. Keep in mind what you would rather have though: the 6 min travel time between Malta and Crete may change with a Xi rework already, but putting another system between Alpha and Xi might increase travel times more or by the amount they would increase anyway because of the rework (as I said, really depends).
Thanks for the response,
Seeing you as the no.1 guy for this rework i appreciate your effort.
But come on dude, dont you miss that time?
Have to admit I very vaguely remember Eta. I had a few pews there and remember having to navigate around the mines but that was about it. I appreciate the sentimental value though and want to strive to make something similar or at least equally rememberable. I have some cool ideas for Xi. Not sure who'll work on Cheta yet but we're at the discussion stage and those have been productive.
Sounds promising, but if they call it Cheta, just name it ETA, what harm will do that
I mean it's project name is Cheta, but to preserve the vanilla name we'll call it Beta.
Eta used to lead most boring Omicron system in my personal list. That horrible huge minefield, back then everyone complained to return alpha-beta-theta-gamma route for the raids and exclude Eta. Chi can be a good place to retain purpose of Eta, but god no minefields please.
At the same time, Eta generated good amount of activity, with like 3-5 OCs player being there nearly constantly.
Part of pews happened there, without moving into Gamma or either into Alpha, without causing huge Q_Q and stuff like this.
I do remember Eta as being not that bad hub for both players, as occasional Corsair or Order players, could also take some missions from sair base located within nebula + asteroid field.
I'm liking the new layout, it is much more compact and from the looks of it on the interactive navmap it is seeming much easier for travelling around and meeting people. I was not having a chance looking at it in the game for now.
But where is Soledad?
From the interactive navmap I'm seeing Albegna was moved to Alpha but after looking again I cannot find Soledad. Perhaps the navmap is not correct, I will scoop around ingame once I'm managing getting onto the server again.

It was a good place Omicron Eta, the missions and the Osiris batleships wat we killed behind the minefield, planet Catania and Lentini base from the outcast.
3 bases was there on Eta, Outcast Lentini base, Outcast Siracusa base and the Corsair base Milazzo.
I did the missions from Lentini base, it was hard, sometimes they send 4 legates dreadnoughts, and the most time Osiris battleships.
Big fun.
So bring Omicron Eta back.
